Description
図1に示すように、自動二輪車10は、車体フレーム11に、ヘッドパイプ12から車両後方へ延びるメインフレーム13と、このメインフレーム13から下方に延びるピボットフレーム18とが備えられ、車体フレーム11にエンジン14が懸架され、ヘッドパイプ12に前輪15を含む前輪操向部21が操向自在に備えられ、ピボットフレーム18に揺動自在に後輪懸架部22が支持され、前輪15と後輪16の間で車体フレーム11にシート17が備えられ、このシート17に乗員が跨って乗車する鞍乗り型車両である。
図3に戻り、右側の一側延長部65Rに、酸素センサ52が設けられている。
なお、上流側酸素センサ51Rを含む右側の第2集合部62Rは、車幅方向中心線に対して左側の第2集合部62Lと対称に設けられており、左側の第2集合部62Lの構造についての説明は省略する。
なお、左の第3集合部63Lは、車幅方向中心線に対して右の第3集合部63Rと対称に設けられており、左の第3集合部63Lの構造についての説明は省略する。
なお左の分岐部55Lは、温度センサ53が設けられる点を除いて、車幅方向中心線に対して右の分岐部55Rと対称に設けられており、左の分岐部55Lの構造についての説明は省略する。
なお車幅方向左側に、排気管41を覆う左のプロテクタ34L(図1参照)が設けられているが、車幅方向中心線に対して、右のプロテクタと左右対称な構造を有しており、説明を省略する。
図3、図7及び図8を併せて参照し、触媒48L、48Rの下流側で左右一対の排気管41L、41Rの分岐部55L、55Rの下流側で、右の排気管41Rの一側(車両後方)に、酸素センサ52を備えている。
Claims (4)
- 多気筒エンジン(14)からの排気ガスを導出する左右一対の排気管(41L、41R)と、この排気管(41L、41R)の下流側に接続され排気音を低減させると共に前記排気ガスを外部へ排出する消音器(44L、44R)とを備えた自動二輪車の排気装置において、
前記左右一対の排気管(41L、41R)は、各々、各気筒を集合させる集合部(43L、43R)を備えると共に、当該集合部(43L、43R)に、排気ガスを浄化する触媒(48L、48R)が各々設けられ、
前記触媒(48L、48R)の下流側にて、前記左右一対の排気管(41L、41R)は、一側が前記消音器(44L、44R)へ延び、他側が前記左右一対の排気管(41L、41R)の間を連結する連結管(54)へ延びている分岐部(55L、55R)を含み、
前記左右一対の分岐部(55L、55R)の下流側で前記一側に、下流側酸素センサ(52)を備えており、
前記下流側酸素センサ(52)の上流側に前記触媒(48L、48R)を挟むようにして上流側酸素センサ(51L、51R)が備えられ、
前記分岐部(55L、55R)の下流側で車両後方に延び、前記消音器(44L、44R)につながる一側延長部(65L、65R)が備えられ、
前記下流側酸素センサ(52)の上流側に温度センサ(53)が設けられ、
前記温度センサ(53)は前記連結管(54)と前記一側延長部(65L、65R)との間に備えられ、
前記集合部(43L、43R)の後部及び前記分岐部(55L、55R)にて排気ガスが攪拌されるようにしたことを特徴とする自動二輪車の排気装置。 - 前記分岐部(55L、55R)は、前記触媒(48L、48R)の下流側に備えられた天井壁(71)と、当該天井壁(71)に対向配置される底壁(72)と、前記天井壁(71)と当該底壁(72)との間に渡され車両後方に臨んでいる後壁(73)と、を備え、
当該後壁(73)に温度センサ(53)が備えられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の自動二輪車の排気装置。 - 前記下流側酸素センサ(52)の上端は、車幅方向内側に指向すると共に、車両側面視で前記左右一対の排気管(41L、41R)を覆う左右のプロテクタ(34L、34R)と重なることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2記載の自動二輪車の排気装置。
- 前記連結管(54)は、前記下流側酸素センサ(52)の下方で且つ、車両長手方向で前記下流側酸素センサ(52)と重なるように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の自動二輪車の排気装置。
