Description
フッ化水素酸(HF)で廃棄LCDパネルガラス粉体を溶解した後、誘導結合プラズマ原子発光分析(ICP/AES)で、その組成及び成分割合を分析し、分析結果を表1に示す。
実施例2及び3の無機材料並びに変性前の廃棄LCDパネルガラス粉体を選定し、界面動電位分析装置を使用して、電気泳動光散乱法(ElectropHoretic Light Scattering、すなわち、ELS)により、各無機材料の異なる酸・アルカリ条件での界面動電位(Zeta Potential)を測定し、界面動電位(mV)とpH値(pH0〜pH10)とでグラフにプロットし、無機材料及び変性前の廃棄LCDパネルガラス粉体の等電点(ZPC)を得た。図5は、変性前の廃棄LCDパネルガラス粉体と本開示の無機材料の界面動電位とpHとの関係を示す図である。
実施例3の無機材料を用いて、それぞれ、銅、ニッケル、鉛、亜鉛、カドミウム、クロム等の6種類の重金属イオンに対して、単一重金属イオンの吸着能力試験を行った。単層吸着モデルであるラングミュアモデル(Langmuir model)で、無機材料1gあたりの単一重金属イオンを吸着する最大能力(mg/g)を算出した。各種類の重金属イオンを、各々に定量100mlの濃度5、8、10、15、20、25、40、60、80mg/Lの試験溶液を調製し、各試験溶液に0.1gの無機材料を添加し、酸度をpH3に調整して電気メッキ廃水及び土壌の酸洗浄を模擬し、24時間の吸着試験を行い、ろ過膜で試験溶液を濾取して、そのままICP/AESで吸着後の重金属イオン含有量を分析した。
初期濃度が110(mg/L)のAs含有試験溶液を調製し、定量体積200mlを取り、それぞれ2gの実施例3及び6の無機材料を添加し、室温下、振動器で180rpm、60分間往復振動し、0.45濾紙で試験溶液を濾取して、ICP/AESで吸着後のAs含有量を分析した。表6は、無機材料のヒ素(As)含有廃水を吸着する試験結果を示す。
実施例3、4及び5の無機材料を用いて、実際に工場に由来する電気メッキ廃水の複数種類の重金属に対する吸着実験を行うことにより、本開示の無機材料の複雑な成分を含有する電気メッキ廃水に対する吸着能力を確認した。Cr、Cu、NiやZn等の重金属イオンを含有する酸性またはアルカリ性の電気メッキ廃水100mlを取り、それぞれ、1%質量(1g)の実施例3、4及び5の無機材料を添加し、振動強度180rpm、吸着時間60分間、吸着温度25℃の試験条件で、吸着試験を行った。吸着試験終了後は、吸着後の電気メッキ廃水中の重金属イオン濃度をICP−AESで分析した。表7は、無機材料の電気メッキ廃水中の複数の重金属イオンに対する最大吸着量と除去率を示す。
実験室において、As、Pb、Cd、Cr、Ni、Cu、Znを含有する硝酸塩水溶液を調製し、複数の有害物質を含有する工業廃水を模擬し、各有害物質の本来の濃度をICP−AESで測定した。実施例1、2、9、10の無機材料各20gを、それぞれ200gの模擬工業廃水(無機材料の模擬工業廃水に対する質量百分率で計算すると、添加量が10%w/w)に添加し、振動強度180rpm、吸着時間30分間、吸着温度25℃の処理条件で振動吸着を行い、吸着後の模擬工業廃水中の各有害物質の濃度を表8に示す。
シアン系工業廃水の元のpH値は、2.37であった。そのpH値を調整しない条件で、10gの実施例3の無機材料を、200gのシアン系工業廃水(無機材料のシアン系工業廃水に対する質量百分率で計算すると、添加量が5%w/w)に添加し、振動強度180rpm、吸着時間30分間、吸着温度25℃の処理条件で複数回の振動吸着を行った。処理終了後、処理後のシアン系工業廃水の有害物質濃度(イオン濃度)ICP−AESで分析し、測定された有害物質濃度を表9に示す。
酸性工業廃水の元pH値は、3.54であった。そのpH値を調整しない条件下で、10gの実施例11の無機材料を200gの酸性工業廃水(無機材料の工業廃水に対する質量百分率で計算すると、添加量が5%w/w)に添加し、振動強度180rpm、吸着時間30分間、吸着温度25℃の処理条件で複数回の振動吸着を行った。処理終了後、処理後の酸性工業廃水の有害物質濃度(イオン濃度)をICP−AESで分析し、測定された有害物質濃度を表10に示す。
酸性工業廃水中の重金属を飽和吸着した無機材料各3gを取り、5回の脱着−再生−吸着試験を行い、毎回の吸着量と脱着量を測定し、1回目の吸着量を基準として、無機材料の吸着能力維持率を算出し、無機材料の信頼性を得た。
初期濃度200(mg/L)のホウ素含有廃水を配置し、流動床結晶廃水処理を行った。前記廃水と結晶先駆体(塩化バリウム)を管路11を経由して担体2を有する流動床反応器1に入れ、廃水中の有害物質を前記担体2に結晶させ、前記有害物質を回収し、管路12を経由して処理された廃水を出した。
従来の珪砂担体とMCL材料担体を実際に操作するために必要な還流動力(即ち、図7においてポンプ4により回転速度を制御するために必要な動力)で、10mリフトの流動床反応器を操作するために必要なエネルギー消費を推測した。表14に示すMCL材料担体では、毎年必要な電力(エネルギー消費)は約5372KWのみ、従来の珪砂担体では必要な電力は約32228KWであり、これで、MCL材料担体の流動床反応器における還流動力は83.3%減少し、低いエネルギー消費という利点を有する。
本発明のまた別の態様は、以下のとおりであってもよい。
〔1〕ガラス相構造を有する複数の多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子を含む、廃水中の有害物質を除去するための無機材料であって、
前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の成分が、シリカ、アルミナ、酸化バリウム、酸化ストロンチウム及び酸化ホウ素を含み、
前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の平均孔径が3〜50nmであり、
pH値が1〜5の環境下で、前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の界面動電位が負の値であることを特徴とする、無機材料。
〔2〕前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の比表面積が、65〜500m 2 /gである、前記〔1〕に記載の無機材料。
〔3〕前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の少なくとも60%の孔体積の孔径が、3〜50nmである、前記〔1〕又は〔2〕に記載の無機材料。
〔4〕前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の比重が、0.5〜0.8g/cm 3 である、前記〔1〕〜〔3〕のいずれか一項に記載の無機材料。
〔5〕前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の成分において、前記シリカと前記アルミナとの質量比(シリカ/アルミナ)が2〜5である、前記〔1〕〜〔4〕のいずれか一項に記載の無機材料。
〔6〕前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子のガラス相構造に吸着する活性金属をさらに含有する、前記〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれか一項に記載の無機材料。
〔7〕前記活性金属が、ナトリウム、カリウム、カルシウム及びマグネシウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つを含む、前記〔6〕に記載の無機材料。
〔8〕前記無機材料の質量に基づいて、前記活性金属の含有量が3〜21%である、前記〔6〕に記載の無機材料。
〔9〕前記無機材料1gあたりの重金属に対する吸着能力が、10mg/gより高い、前記〔1〕〜〔8〕のいずれか一項に記載の無機材料。
〔10〕前記重金属が、遷移金属及びヒ素からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つを含む、前記〔9〕に記載の無機材料。

〔13〕廃水中の有害物質を除去するための無機材料の製造方法であって、
ケイ酸塩粉体と金属化合物とを準備する工程、及び、
800〜1500℃の反応温度で、前記ケイ酸塩粉体と前記金属化合物を反応させ、ガラス相構造を有する複数の多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子を形成する工程
を含み、
前記ケイ酸塩粉体が、シリカ、アルミナ、酸化バリウム、酸化ストロンチウム及び酸化ホウ素を含み、
前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の平均孔径が、3〜50nmであり、
pH値が1〜5の環境下で、前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の界面動電位が負の値であり、
前記ケイ酸塩粉体と前記金属化合物との質量比(ケイ酸塩粉体:金属化合物)が、1:1〜1:20であることを特徴とする、製造方法。
〔14〕前記ケイ酸塩粉体が、LCDパネルガラスを原料として製造された、前記〔13〕に記載の製造方法。

- ガラス相構造を有する複数の多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子と、活性金属とを含む、廃水中の有害物質を除去するための無機材料であって、
前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の成分が、シリカ、アルミナ、酸化バリウム、酸化ストロンチウム及び酸化ホウ素を含み、
前記活性金属が、前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子のガラス相構造に吸着するものであって、ナトリウム、カリウム、カルシウム及びマグネシウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つを含み、
前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の平均孔径が3〜50nmであり、
pH値が1〜5の環境下で、前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の界面動電位が負の値であることを特徴とする、無機材料。 - 前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の比表面積が、65〜500m2/gである、請求項1に記載の無機材料。
- 前記多孔質ケイ酸塩粒子の少なくとも60%の孔体積の孔径が、3〜50nmである、請求項1又は2に記載の無機材料。
