Description
請求項1に係る発明では、成形品の画像を、物理量に基づいて求められた圧縮率にしたがって画像を圧縮して記憶するため、記憶手段の記憶容量の増加を抑えて、成形品の画像データを効率的に記憶することが可能となる。また、統計手法に基づく標準偏差に基づいて圧縮率を求めているため、圧縮率の設定が容易に行うことも可能となる。さらに、圧縮率として少なくとも3段階の画像の圧縮率を求めることにより、圧縮するか否かといった区別だけではなく、段階的な圧縮率の設定を行うことが可能となる。
射出成形機10は機台上に型締装置12と射出装置14とを備えており、型締装置12において成形品16が成形される。成形された成形品16は、撮像装置としてのカメラ18によって撮像され、撮像された画像データは、成形品画像取得手段20で取得され、成形品画像22として射出成形機10に送付される。
画像圧縮手段38においては、画像圧縮率設定手段36において設定された画像の圧縮方法によって、成形品画像22を圧縮する。画像圧縮手段38によって圧縮された画像は、記憶手段40に送られて記憶される。画像の記憶の際には、圧縮された画像だけではなく、その際に物理量取得手段32において取得された物理量34も合わせて記憶するようにすると、物理量と画像データとの関係が明確となり好ましい。
圧縮率 = | 取得した物理量−物理量の平均値 | ×K(K:係数) (式1)
ここで、物理量の平均値については、ある程度のショット数を重ねると概ね定まってくるが、ショット数の最初の方では、まだ平均値が定まっていない。そのため、ある程度の平均値が定まる所定の回数までは、得られた画像データを圧縮せずに記憶したり、可逆的圧縮をして記憶しておき、所定の回数のショット数が終了して、ある程度の平均値が定まってから、その平均値に基づいて、記憶しておいた画像データに対して圧縮処理を行うようにすることもできる。
成形品の画像データを記憶する際には、画像データを取得した成形サイクルに関わる物理量34と対応させて合わせて記憶してもよい。記憶手段40の記憶容量をさらに抑えるために、成形品の画像データの取得タイミングを毎成形サイクルでなくても所定成形サイクル毎、あるいは、任意の成形サイクルとしてもよい。
また、物理量がピーク射出圧の場合には、検出したピーク射出圧が−0.5σ〜0.5σのときは圧縮率50%、0.5σ〜1σ又は−0.5σ〜−1σのときは圧縮率70%、1.5σ〜3σ又は−1.5σ〜−3σのときは圧縮率90%、3σ以上又は−3σ以下のときは圧縮せずに100%とする。
また、本実施形態においては、平均値との差分や、標準偏差を用いて圧縮率を決定しているが、その他の統計手法を用いて圧縮率を決定するようにすることも可能である。

Claims (1)
- 射出成形機と、
射出成形に関わる物理量を取得する物理量取得手段と、
前記射出成形機で製造された成形品の画像を取得する成形品画像取得手段と、
前記物理量取得手段で取得した前記物理量の標準偏差に基づいて少なくとも3段階の前記画像の圧縮率を求める画像圧縮率設定手段と、
該画像圧縮率設定手段で求めた前記圧縮率にしたがって前記成形品の画像を圧縮して記憶する記憶手段と、
を有することを特徴とする射出成形システム。
