Description
図7及び図8は、酸化窒素(NO)を元素の窒素及び水に触媒的に還元するのに使用される、(図1及び図3aに示されるような)従来技術の基準の正方形チャネルの幾何学的形状と同じ壁厚を有する、図5a、図5b及び図6bに示されるセルのような細長い6角形及び5角形を有するハニカムモノリス構造の関連する例の、セルの直径比(LL/LS)の範囲に関する等しいか又は増大したNO変換と組み合わせた、より低い圧力損失を示している。内側高さは、基準の正方形チャネルにおける4.2mmから、細長い6角形及び5角形における3.2mmに(すなわち25%だけ)低減する。約2.5のセルの直径比(LL/LS)において、圧力損失は、基準の正方形チャネルの幾何学的形状の圧力損失に比してはるかに低減され、本発明による全てのハニカムモノリスの場合にセルの直径比(LL/LS)の値の増大とともに更に低下することが分かる。さらに、NO変換は、基準の正方形チャネルの幾何学的形状の場合と同じか又はほぼ同じレベル(82%)である。圧力損失を犠牲にして、基準の正方形チャネルの幾何学的形状の場合よりも更により高いNO変換をハニカムモノリス構造によって得ることができ、これは比較的高い超過圧力を有するシステムに価値があり得ることも観察できる。
CFDシミュレーションが、セルの直径比(LL/LS)=2.5を有する細長い6角形形状のチャネルに関して同様のNO変換率を維持しながらも圧力損失の低減を示した実施例1における場合、更なる利点が認識される。
モノリスの異なる幾何学的形状に関連する塵埃削減特性を実証するために実験を行った。同じ材料及び同じ製造方法で製造されたモノリスに対して比較研究を行い、この場合、正方形チャネルの幾何学的形状(LS=4.2mm)を有する基準の構造と、細長い6角形チャネルの幾何学的形状(LL/LS=3.2)とを有するモノリスを用いた。付着物及び削減に関連する実験を機器に対して行い、この場合、関連範囲の空塔速度(通常はサンプルの正面では約5m/秒)の固形のフライアッシュ粒子を含有する空気が、鉛直に直立するモノリスサンプルに上部から入って通る。固体濃度は、石炭発電所における塵埃の多い用途に関連し、すなわち10g/Nm3〜30g/Nm3である。実験において使用される固形粒子は、石炭発電所において電気集塵装置によって捕捉されたフライアッシュ、すなわちポルトランドセメントに一般的に加えられるフライアッシュである。
モノリスを通しての圧力損失の測定のために、モノリスサンプルを圧力損失試験システムに設置する。システムは3つの部分、すなわちファンと、コントローラと、測定部分とからなる。ファンは、モノリスサンプルの正面のある範囲の空塔速度につながる空気流量の範囲を得るために使用される。通常の試行では、モノリスサンプルを、一般的には15cm×15cmのサイズを有するが試験されるそのモノリスサイズに関して変えることのできるダクト内で、0m/秒〜10m/秒の範囲における圧力損失について試験する。モノリスサンプルを、十分に発展された流れを達成するのに十分に直線的である測定ダクトに配置する。コントローラを、所定のガスの空塔速度を達成するように調整する。ガスの空塔速度を確認するために、速度メータプローブを、モノリスサンプルの前に位置するサンプリング孔に挿入する。静圧プローブも同じサンプリング孔において使用してその上流の静圧を測定する。下流の静圧は、モノリスサンプルの後に位置する別のサンプリング孔を通して測定することができる。差圧を、これらの2つの静圧によって決めることができる。概して、測定は種々のガス流量で繰り返される。
Claims (24)
- ハニカムモノリス構造であって、
複数の多角形チャネルを画定する複数のセルの壁であって、該複数のセルの壁及び前記複数の多角形チャネルは、共通の方向に沿って前記ハニカムモノリス構造の入口端から出口端に流体の流れ方向に平行に延び、前記多角形チャネルは両端が開口し、
多角形チャネルの横断方向断面は、凸状の多角形の形状を有し、該凸状の多角形の2つの隣接する壁の間の内角の少なくとも50%が90度よりも大きく、セルの直径比LL/LS(最小の直径に対する最長の直径)は1.5よりも大きく、前記多角形チャネルの全て又は主な部分が同じ流れ抵抗を有することを特徴とするハニカムモノリス構造。 - 前記凸状の多角形の2つの隣接する壁の間の前記内角の50%超が90度よりも大きい、請求項1に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記凸状の多角形の2つの隣接する壁の間の前記内角は全て90度よりも大きい、請求項1又は2に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記セルの直径比LL/LSの範囲は2〜10である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記セルの直径比LL/LSの範囲は2〜6である、請求項4に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記セルの直径比LL/LSの範囲は2.5〜4である、請求項5に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記壁の厚さの範囲は0.01mm〜5mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記壁の厚さの範囲は0.1mm〜1.5mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項7に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記壁の厚さの範囲は0.2mm〜1.1mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項8に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LSの範囲は0.5mm〜20mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LSの範囲は1mm〜10mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項10に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LSの範囲は2mm〜6mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項11に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LLの範囲は0.75mm〜200mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LLの範囲は1.5mm〜100mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項13に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記LLの範囲は6mm〜60mmであり、境界値を含む、請求項14に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 多角形チャネルの横断方向断面は5角形、6角形又は8角形の形状を有する、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記凸状の多角形は最密な充填モザイクで配置される、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- セラミック材料の押出によって作られる、請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 前記内側角部の少なくとも1つが丸みを帯びている、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 曲率半径LRが前記最小の直径LSの半分にほぼ等しい、請求項19に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 触媒、又は、1つ又は複数の触媒の担体、又は、1つ又は複数の非触媒プロセス用の固体、又は、非触媒プロセスにおいて使用される1つ又は複数の化学物質の担体として使用される、請求項1〜20のいずれか一項に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 酸化窒素の選択触媒還元(SCR)における触媒として使用される、請求項21に記載のハニカムモノリス構造。
- 請求項1〜22のいずれか一項に記載の少なくともハニカムモノリス構造を含む触媒構造であって、前記セルは5角形又は6角形の形状を有する触媒構造。
- 請求項1〜22のいずれか一項に記載の複数のハニカムモノリス構造を含むことを特徴とする積み重ねられた構造の反応器であって、
複数のハニカムモノリス構造の共通の流れ方向に沿って積み重ねられる反応器。
