Description
図1は、本実施形態におけるインクジェット記録装置100の記録ヘッド周辺の構成を示す図である。記録ヘッド1はキャリッジ3上に搭載される。また、キャリッジ3は、タイミングベルト4の回転に従ってガイドレール6に沿って矢印Sで示す走査方向に往復移動が可能なように案内支持されている。記録ヘッド1は、記録媒体2と対向する面に、キャリッジ3の移動方向と交差する方向に配列されたノズル列を有している。キャリッジ3および記録ヘッド1が矢印S方向に移動しつつ、記録ヘッド1のノズル列から記録データに基づいてインク滴が吐出されることで、記録媒体2に対して記録が行われる。また、記録媒体2はキャリッジ3の走査方向と交差する方向に搬送され、走査及びインク滴の吐出動作と、搬送動作とを繰り返すことにより、記録媒体2の全面に記録が可能である。
第1の実施形態においては、最高到達温度の検出漏れを防ぐことと、降温速度変化点の検出精度を向上させることを目的とした。しかしながら、降温速度変化点の検出漏れの懸念が特にない場合には、検出温度の全範囲を取り込むことを目的とし、且つ、温度センサ203の電圧変化を高精度に検出したい部分についてのみ、より大きいセンサ電流値を用いるようにしても良い。
図18は、温度センサ203に供給するセンサ電流値の時間変化を示す図である。図18の時間h−i−j−k間は、図5及び図6の時間h−i−j−k間に対応している。図18に示すように、時間h−i間および時間j−k間においては、センサ電流値を4.5mAとし、時間i−j間においては、センサ電流値を3.0mAとしている。
Claims (4)
- ノズルからインク滴を吐出させるためのヒータと、前記ヒータの温度変化に対して抵抗値が変化するセンサとを含む記録ヘッドを備えるインクジェット記録装置であって、
第1の定電流値の定電流と、前記第1の定電流値より大きい第2の定電流値の定電流とを前記センサに供給可能である電流源と、
前記ヒータの1回の駆動に対応する温度変化を検出する際に、前記ヒータの駆動開始タイミングと前記ヒータの温度の最高点に対応するタイミングを含む第1の期間に前記第1の定電流値で前記センサに供給し、前記第1の期間に続く第2の期間に前記第2の定電流値で前記センサに供給を行って、前記センサの抵抗値の変化を電圧の変化に基づいて検出する検出手段と、を備え、
前記第1の定電流値は、前記第1の定電流値に対応する電圧範囲が、前記最高点に対応する電圧と前記第2の定電流値に対応する電圧範囲を含むように定められ、
前記第1の定電流値に対応する単位温度変化あたりの電圧変化量は、前記第2の定電流値に対応する単位温度変化あたりの電圧変化量より小さくなるように定められる、
ことを特徴とするインクジェット記録装置。 - 前記検出手段により検出された前記センサの抵抗値の変化に基づいて、前記ノズルの前記インク滴の吐出状態を判定する判定手段、をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット記録装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記第2の定電流値の定電流を供給している前記センサの抵抗値の変化に基づいて、前記ノズルの前記インク滴の吐出状態を判定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のインクジェット記録装置。
- 前記検出手段は、更に、前記ヒータの1回の駆動に対応する温度変化を検出する際に、前記ヒータを駆動する前に前記第2の定電流値で前記センサに供給することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット記録装置。
