Description
本発明のセラミックカラーペースト(又はセラミックカラー組成物)は、ガラスフリット、ビヒクル及び耐熱性顔料に加えて、耐熱性径大粒子を含むことを特徴とする。
本発明のセラミックカラーペーストでは、耐熱性径大粒子(以下、「径大粒子」又「大粒子」と称することもある)がセラミックカラーを形成するための乾燥塗膜(乾燥後の塗膜厚み)の平均厚みよりも大きな粒径を有するため、ガラス板(単層のガラス板又は合わせガラスの一方のガラス板)に積層(塗布又は印刷)して乾燥すると、耐熱性径大粒子が塗膜の表面から突出して凸構造を形成する。そのため、耐熱性径大粒子がセラミックカラーを焼成するときにスペーサーとして働き、セラミックカラーと接触する対面ガラス又はプレス型(成形ダイ)との間に一定の距離を保ち、セラミックカラー塗膜中の溶融ガラスの対面ガラスへの接触・付着を防止できる。
ガラスフリット(溶融性ガラス粉又は粒子)は、セラミックカラーの膜を形成するとともにガラス板に定着するために配合される。ガラスフリットとしては、セラミックカラーにおいて慣用のガラスフリット、例えば、ホウケイ酸系ガラスフリット、ホウケイ酸亜鉛系ガラスフリット、ビスマス系ガラスフリット、鉛系ガラスフリットなどが挙げられる。これらのガラスフリットは、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
ビヒクルは、セラミックカラー組成物をペースト化し、スクリーン印刷などの塗布工程に適用するために配合される。ビヒクルは、セラミックカラーのビヒクルとして利用される慣用のビヒクル、例えば、分散媒及び/又はバインダーであってもよい。ビヒクルは、分散媒及びバインダーの一方でいずれかであってもよいが、乾燥により分散媒が揮発して径大粒子を表面に突出できる点から、少なくとも分散媒を含むのが好ましく、通常、分散媒とバインダーとの組み合わせである。
耐熱性顔料は、セラミックカラーに目的の色を付与するために配合される。耐熱性顔料としては、セラミックカラーペーストの焼成温度に耐えることができればよく、慣用の耐熱性顔料を使用できる。
本発明のセラミックカラー付きガラスは、曲げ成形された湾曲形状を有するガラス板と、このガラス板の少なくとも一方の面において、少なくとも一部の領域に積層され、かつ前記セラミックカラーで形成されたセラミックカラー膜とを備えている。
曲げ成形及び焼成のための加熱温度は、ガラス板の軟化点以上の温度であればよく、例えば、550〜750℃、好ましくは570〜700℃、さらに好ましくは580〜680℃程度である。
本発明の合わせガラスは、対向するガラス板の間に前記セラミックカラーが配設されており、詳しくは、少なくとも2枚のガラス板が樹脂で形成された中間膜を介して圧着されており、前記ガラス板の少なくとも1枚が、前記セラミックカラー付きガラス板であり、セラミックカラー膜が形成された側に、中間膜を介して、さらに他のガラス板が圧着されている。本発明の合わせガラスは、セラミックカラーペーストを介して積層した複数のガラス板の曲げ成形と同時に、前記セラミックカラーペーストの焼成を行う曲げ工程を含む慣用の製造方法により得られる。
[セラミックカラーペーストの調製]
低融点の溶融性ガラスとして、軟化温度510℃、平均粒径3.3μmのBi2O3−ZnO−B2O3系ガラス粉(奥野製薬工業(株)製)70質量部、耐熱性顔料として、平均粒径0.6μmの銅/クロム/マンガン系黒色顔料(大日精化工業(株)製「ダイピロキサイド ブラック♯9510」)30質量部、有機ビヒクルとして、アクリル樹脂系ビヒクル(共栄社化学(株)製「オリコックス♯2218」、樹脂含量35質量%、溶媒:α−テルピネオール)35質量部を攪拌混合装置によって混合した後、3本ロールによる均質分散を行ない、ベースとなるセラミックカラーのペーストを調製した。
得られたセラミックカラーペーストを、ポリエステル製スクリーン版(表1〜3にメッシュサイズを記載するが、150メッシュは開口121μm、100メッシュは開口204μm、70メッシュは開口243μmである)を用いて、100mm×100mm×3mm厚のガラス板(ソーダガラス)上の90mm×90mmの部分にベタ状に印刷し、150℃で10分乾燥した。乾燥膜の厚みを表1〜3に示す。乾燥膜の平均厚みは、触針式膜厚計により膜厚プロファイルを測定し、膜表面から突起した径大粒子を含まない部分の膜厚を読み取った。図2は、参考例及び実施例で得られた乾燥塗膜の概略断面図である。図2に示されるように、参考例及び実施例で得られたセラミックカラーペーストの乾燥塗膜では、ガラス板11の上に、セラミックカラーペーストの乾燥塗膜12が積層され、その表面に径大粒子12aが突出しており、径大粒子12aで形成された凸部を除く領域で厚みを測定した結果、乾燥塗膜の平均厚みは約15μmであった。
セラミックカラーを印刷、乾燥したガラス板の上に、セラミックカラー乾燥膜を挟む様態で、セラミックカラーを印刷していない同じサイズのガラス板(対面ガラス)を重ねて置き、600℃又は650℃の炉中にそれぞれ投入し、5分間加熱焼成した。重ねた2枚のガラスの温度が室温付近に戻った後、対面ガラスを分離して、対面ガラスに対するセラミックカラーの付着・転写の有無について、以下の基準で評価した。
△:対面ガラスの分離はできるが、反対面ガラスへのセラミックカラーの付着・転写が見られる
×:セラミックカラーの融着により2枚のガラス板が全く分離出来ない。
加熱炉内に載置され、かつその型面が耐熱ガラス繊維やステンレスクロス(ベカルト社製「KN/C1(316L)」)によって被覆されたプレス型(成形ダイ)の下方に、セラミックカラーを印刷、乾燥したガラス板を載置し、650℃に4分間保持後、プレスし、前記ガラス板を湾曲形状とした。この湾曲形状ガラス板のプレス型(前記ガラス繊維布で形成された被覆面)からの型離れ性を以下の基準で評価した。
△:ガラス板とプレス型とを分離できるが、プレス型にセラミックカラーの付着・転写が見られる
×:セラミックカラーの融着により、ガラス板とプレス型とを容易に剥離できず、型離れ性が低い。
低融点ガラス1及び耐熱性顔料の配合割合を表4に示す割合に変更した以外は、参考例13と同様にしてセラミックカラーペーストを調製し、ガラス板への印刷、合わせガラスでの焼成、プレス成形を行なった。
低融点ガラス1に代えて、低融点ガラス2(軟化温度530℃、平均粒径2.5μmのZnO−B2O3−RO−R2O系ガラス粉;奥野製薬工業(株)製)を用いたこと以外は、参考例13と同様にしてセラミックカラーペーストを調製し、ガラス板への印刷、合わせガラスでの焼成、プレス成形を行なった。

Claims (19)
- ガラスフリット、ビヒクル、耐熱性顔料及び耐熱性径大粒子を含むセラミックカラーペーストであって、前記耐熱性径大粒子が、セラミックカラーを形成するための乾燥塗膜の平均厚みよりも大きな粒径を有し、かつ60〜300μmの粒径範囲を有するセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子がセラミックカラーを形成するための乾燥塗膜の平均厚みに対して1.2〜20倍の粒径を有する粒子を含む請求項1記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子の割合が、前記ガラスフリット及び前記耐熱性顔料の合計100質量部に対して、0.1〜30質量部である請求項1又は2記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子が前記セラミックカラーと同色又は同系色である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子が金属酸化物で形成されている請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子がガラスで形成されている請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子が略球状である請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子が前記セラミックカラーペーストの焼成温度よりも高い融点又は軟化点を有する請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 湾曲形状を有する合わせガラスの対向するガラス板間に配設される請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペースト。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペーストを焼成したセラミックカラー。
- 湾曲形状を有するガラス板と、このガラス板の少なくとも一方の面において、少なくとも一部の領域に積層され、かつ請求項10記載のセラミックカラーで形成されたセラミックカラー膜とを備えるセラミックカラー付きガラス。
- 前記セラミックカラー膜の表面に前記耐熱性径大粒子が突出している請求項11記載のセラミックカラー付きガラス。
- 少なくとも2枚のガラス板が、樹脂で形成された中間膜を介して圧着された合わせガラスであって、前記ガラス板の少なくとも1枚が請求項12記載のセラミックカラー付きガラスであるセラミックカラー付き合わせガラス。
- 前記耐熱性径大粒子の突出した部分の少なくとも一部が中間膜に埋め込まれている請求項13記載のセラミックカラー付き合わせガラス。
- ガラス板の少なくとも一方の面において、少なくとも一部の領域に、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペーストを積層して乾燥する乾燥塗膜の製造方法。
- ガラス板の少なくとも一方の面において、少なくとも一部の領域に、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラーペーストを積層する積層工程と、得られた積層体を前記ガラス板の軟化点以上の温度で加熱して曲げ成形する曲げ成形工程と、前記セラミックカラーペーストの焼成を行う工程とを含むセラミックカラー付きガラスの製造方法。
- 前記曲げ成形工程において、離型剤を用いることなく曲げ成形を行う請求項16記載のセラミックカラー付きガラスの製造方法。
- 前記曲げ成形工程がプレス成形を含む請求項16又は17記載のセラミックカラー付きガラスの製造方法。
- 前記曲げ成形工程において、複数枚のガラス板が重ねて曲げ成形され、前記複数枚のガラス板の対向する面の少なくとも一面に前記セラミックカラーペーストが積層されている請求項16〜18のいずれかに記載のセラミックカラー付きガラスの製造方法。
