Description
フィルムの接着性向上のための表面改質は、大別して、次の二つの効果に依存している。
本発明の第1実施形態は、熱可塑性樹脂と無機物質粉末とを重量比18:82〜50:50で含有する加工用薄膜材料であって、その比重が0.60以上1.40以下であり、JIS P 8140によるコッブ法吸水度が0.0g/m2・120秒以上11.0g/m2・120秒以下のものである。
バルク密度(g/cm2)= 坪量(g/m2)/(バルク厚さ(mm)×1000)
ここで、坪量とは、面積(m2)あたりの重量(g)である(JIS P8124)。

式中、 D:生産計画で定められた製品の見かけ比重
R:生産計画で定められた縦横比(縦方向と横方向の延伸倍率の比)
W:縦延伸をかける前の薄膜材料の1平方メートルあたりの重量(g)
X:縦方向の延伸倍率
Y:横方向の延伸倍率
Z:縦延伸によるシートの横方向の長さの収縮倍率もしくは伸長倍率
本発明の第2実施形態は、第1の実施態様の薄膜材料の表面に加工材料を積層して積層フィルムを製造する方法である。
高密度ポリエチレン樹脂と炭酸カルシウム粉末とを、重量比40:60となるように調節し、更に、マグネシウムステアレートを両原料に対し1重量%となるように配合して、Tダイを備え付けた同方向回転式押出成形機を用いて混合、混練と同時に薄膜材料中間体を形成する直接法成形を行なった。作成した厚さが270μm及び350μmの薄膜材料中間体について、原反幅305mm、入口速度0.7m/min、延伸部温度95℃で、ロールの周速差を利用する縦延伸を実施した。
(比重)
各サンプルの坪量(g/m2)を厚さ(mm)で割って求めた。
(吸水度)
JIS P8140に規定される紙及び板紙の片面が一定時間水に接触する場合の吸水度を測定するものであり、接触時間は一般的には120秒を基準とするが必要に応じて変化させて測定することができる。

m1:試験片の乾燥質量(g)
m2:試験片の湿潤質量(g)
S:試験面積(cm2)
JISP8117:2009「紙及び板紙−透気度及び透気抵抗度試験方法(中間領域)−ガーレー法」に規定される方法により、サンプルの表及び裏からガーレー試験機で測定し小数点以下四捨五入で表示した。
実施例1と同様な方法により直接法で成形を行ない、厚さが270μm及び350μmの薄膜材料中間体を作成した。この原反について、ロールの周速差を利用する縦延伸、つづいてシート端部固定式テンターによる横延伸を実施した。縦延伸の条件は実施例1と同じで、横延伸の条件は、原反幅270〜280mm、温度95℃であった。逐次延伸を行なった薄膜材料について、比重、吸水度及び透気度を測定した。
縦延伸のみの場合及び縦延伸、横延伸を続けた逐次延伸の場合について、吸水度測定の際の吸水時間の影響を比較した。その結果は次表のとおりで、吸水時間がJIS法で規定された120秒の場合と、30秒の場合で大きな差はなく、水の吸水は比較的短時間で行なわれることが分った。
炭酸カルシウムを高充填したポリエチレン樹脂薄膜材料(ポリエチレン樹脂と炭酸カルシウムとの重量比が20:80で吸水度4.0g/m2・120秒、透気度1300秒以上の薄膜材料)に対し、リバース式のマイクログラビア式のコーターで1μm程度のポリビニルアルコール樹脂を塗布した。コート面を純水を使用して接触角を評価したところ、77°であった。なお、接触角は、対象となる材料の表面上に純水の水滴を乗せ、平衡になったとき液体表面と材料表面のなす角度を測定して求めた。
パルプ紙に対し、実施例4で使用したのと同じ樹脂を、乾燥後の塗布量が30g/m2となるよう塗布した。
実施例4及び比較例を用い、設けたインクジェット受容層の付着性をJIS K 5600のクロスカット法により測定した。また、A4サイズの薄膜材料を作製し、インクジェットプリンタ「Canon IPF6100」を用いて、出力モード600dpiでA3サイズの大きさの絵柄を水性インクを用いてカラープリントし、目視で画像の評価を行った。表4に、その結果を示す。
得られた受容層形成後の実施例4及び比較例のシートを使用して、受容層に対しJIS5600−5−6に準じてクロスカット試験を行い、接着性の評価を行って、良好及び不良で判定した。
(画像評価)
黒色のテストパターンを印刷し、目視で画像の鮮明さを評価した。
Claims (5)
- 熱可塑性樹脂と炭酸カルシウム粉末とを重量比18:82〜50:50で含有する加工用薄膜材料であって、前記加工用薄膜材料の比重が、0.60以上1.40以下であり、JIS P 8140によるコッブ法吸水度が、0.5g/m2・120秒以上11.0g/m2・120秒以下である、表面の水の接触角が40度以上90度以下に調整された単層である加工用薄膜材料。
- 前記コッブ法吸水度が、0.5g/m2・120秒以上5.0g/m2・120秒以下である請求項1記載の加工用薄膜材料。
- ガーレー試験機法透気度が800秒以上である請求項1又は2記載の加工用薄膜材料。
- 請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の加工用薄膜材料の少なくとも一方の表面に加工材料からなる層を有する積層フィルム。
- 請求項1〜3記載の薄膜材料の少なくとも一方の表面に加工材料を積層して積層フィルムを製造する方法。
