前記ガラスリボンと接触する回転部材と、
内部に冷媒流路を有し、前記回転部材と共に回転する軸部材とを有し、
前記回転部材はセラミックスで形成され、
前記回転部材の貫通孔に挿通される前記軸部材の外周と、前記回転部材の内周との間に、前記回転部材よりも低い熱伝導率を有する第1断熱部材が配設される、支持ロールが提供される。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態によるガラス板の成形装置を示す一部断面図である。図2は、図1のガラス板の成形装置の下部構造を示す平面図である。
上記第1実施形態の支持ロールは、フランジ46と回転部材42との間に、回転部材42よりも高い熱伝導率の伝熱部材48を有する。これに対し、本実施形態の支持ロールは、フランジと回転部材との間に、回転部材よりも低い熱伝導率の断熱部材を有する。本実施形態の支持ロールは、第1実施形態の支持ロールよりも熱が逃げにくい分、高温になりやすく、ガラスリボン14とくっつきやすい。したがって、成形装置10において、本実施形態の支持ロールは、第1実施形態の支持ロールよりも下流側の低温域(ガラスリボン14が107.5超〜107.65dPa・sの粘度範囲の領域)で使用されてよい。無アルカリガラスの場合は、ガラスリボン14が107.5超〜107.65dPa・sの粘度範囲は937℃以上946℃未満の温度範囲に相当する。

Claims (13)
- 帯板状のガラスリボンを支持する支持ロールであって、
前記ガラスリボンと接触する回転部材と、
内部に冷媒流路を有し、前記回転部材と共に回転する軸部材とを有し、
前記回転部材はセラミックスで形成され、
前記回転部材の貫通孔に挿通される前記軸部材の外周と、前記回転部材の内周との間に、前記回転部材よりも低い熱伝導率を有する第1断熱部材が配設される、支持ロール。 - 前記軸部材の外周から張り出す張出部材と、
前記張出部材と前記回転部材との間に配設され、前記回転部材よりも低い熱伝導率を有する第2断熱部材とを有する、請求項1に記載の支持ロール。 - 前記回転部材における前記第1断熱部材との接触面がテーパ形状である、請求項1または2に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記第1断熱部材における前記回転部材との接触面がテーパ形状である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記第1断熱部材の内周と前記軸部材の外周との間に芯合わせ部材を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記回転部材のうち少なくとも前記ガラスリボンと接触する部分が、窒化ケイ素質セラミックスで形成される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記窒化ケイ素質セラミックスは、焼結体であって、アルミニウム(Al)の含有量が0.1質量%以下、マグネシウム(Mg)の含有量が0.7質量%以下、チタン(Ti)の含有量が0.9質量%以下である、請求項6に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記窒化ケイ素質セラミックスは、ジルコニウム(Zr)の含有量が3.5質量%以下、イットリウム(Y)の含有量が0.5質量%以上、10質量%以下である、請求項7に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記回転部材の外周面が、全周にわたって、断面形状が径方向外方に凸の湾曲状に形成されている、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロール。
- 前記回転部材は、外周に、歯車状の凹凸を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロール。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロールを用いて、帯板状のガラスリボンを支持する工程を有する、ガラス板の成形方法。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロールを有する、ガラス板の成形装置。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の支持ロールを用いて、帯板状のガラスリボンを支持する工程を有し、その後、前記ガラスリボンを徐冷し、切断する工程を有する、ガラス板の製造方法。
