Claims (8)
- 少なくとも一方が透光性を有する一対の基板間に形成された電界に応じて前記一対の基板間を移動し始める閾値及び色が互いに異なると共に、前記電界の強度を固定とした場合に、前記一対の基板の一方から他方へ移動する移動時間が異なる複数種類の粒子群が封入された表示媒体の画素に、前記画素の濃度に応じた数の単位パルスを含む濃度調整電圧を印加する印加手段と、
前記複数種類の粒子群の各々の前記移動時間に印加する前記濃度調整電圧の前記単位パルスの数が、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち前記閾値が最も高い粒子群の前記移動時間に印加する前記濃度調整電圧の前記単位パルスの数と等しくなるように、前記印加手段を制御する制御手段と、
を備えた表示媒体の駆動装置であって、
前記制御手段は、前記濃度調整電圧を印加する前に、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち、濃度の調整対象である粒子群の前記閾値より低い前記閾値を有する粒子群を、前記一対の基板の何れか一方から剥離させ他方の基板に付着させる予備電圧を印加するように前記印加手段を制御する
表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち前記閾値が低い粒子群ほど、当該粒子群に対する前記濃度調整電圧の電圧値を低くするように前記印加手段を制御する
請求項1記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記予備電圧の電圧値が、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち前記閾値が最も高い粒子群に対する前記濃度調整電圧の電圧値以上となるように前記印加手段を制御する請求項1記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記濃度調整電圧を印加した後、前記濃度調整電圧の電圧値以下の付加電圧を印加するように前記印加手段を制御する
請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記画素の濃度が最小濃度又は最大濃度の場合には、前記付加電圧の電圧値を前記濃度調整電圧と同じ電圧値に設定し、前記画素の濃度が最小濃度より高く且つ最大濃度より低い濃度の場合には、前記付加電圧の電圧値を前記濃度調整電圧の電圧値より低く設定するように前記印加手段を制御する
請求項4記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 少なくとも一方が透光性を有する一対の基板間に形成された電界に応じて前記一対の基板間を移動し始める閾値及び色が互いに異なると共に、前記電界の強度を固定とした場合に、前記一対の基板の一方から他方へ移動する移動時間が異なる複数種類の粒子群が封入された表示媒体の画素に、前記画素の濃度に応じた数の単位パルスを含む濃度調整電圧を印加する印加手段と、
前記複数種類の粒子群の各々の前記移動時間に印加する前記濃度調整電圧の前記単位パルスの数が、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち前記閾値が最も高い粒子群の前記移動時間に印加する前記濃度調整電圧の前記単位パルスの数と等しくなるように、前記印加手段を制御する制御手段と、
を備えた表示媒体の駆動装置であって、
前記制御手段は、前記複数種類の粒子群のうち前記閾値が低い粒子群ほど、前記単位パルスの幅を短くするように前記印加手段を制御する
表示媒体の駆動装置。 - コンピュータを、請求項1〜請求項6の何れか1項に記載の駆動装置を構成する制御手段として機能させるための表示媒体の駆動プログラム。
- 少なくとも一方が透光性を有する一対の基板間に形成された電界に応じて前記一対の基板間を移動し始める閾値及び色が互いに異なると共に、前記電界の強度を固定とした場合に、前記一対の基板の一方から他方へ移動する移動時間が異なる複数種類の粒子群が封入された表示媒体と、
請求項1〜請求項6の何れか1項に記載の表示媒体の駆動装置と、
を備えた表示装置。
