Claims (8)
- 炭素源である粉末から黒鉛を得る黒鉛化炉であって、
前記粉末を収容するべく構成された凹所を備えた導電性の坩堝と、
柱状の軸と、前記軸の端に設けられ、球、半球、および縁が丸められた円柱よりなる群より選択された一の形状を有する頭部と、を備え、前記頭部が前記粉末および前記坩堝より上方に位置する第1の位置から、前記頭部が前記粉末中へ沈む第2の位置まで可動な電極と、
前記坩堝および前記電極を経由して前記粉末に電流を流すべく構成された電源と、
前記坩堝を囲むべく寸法づけられ、前記粉末を制御された雰囲気下に置くべく構成されたチャンバであって、それぞれ閉塞可能な開口を備えた第1の端および第2の端を備え、前記第1の端から前記第2の端に向けた順に予熱領域、加熱領域および冷却領域に区分されるチャンバと、
前記坩堝を前記第1の端から前記第2の端に向けて搬送する搬送手段と、
前記予熱領域に配置されて前記坩堝が前記加熱領域に達する以前に前記粉末を予熱する第1のヒータと、を備えた黒鉛化炉。 - 請求項1の黒鉛化炉において、前記電極の前記頭部は、少なくとも部分的に前記軸より径方向に外方に突出している黒鉛化炉。
- 請求項1の黒鉛化炉であって、さらに、
少なくとも前記粉末の上面を加熱するべく配置された高周波誘導コイルを備える黒鉛化炉。 - 請求項1の黒鉛化炉において、前記坩堝の厚さは、前記凹所の下端に向かって薄くされている黒鉛化炉。
- 請求項1の黒鉛化炉であって、さらに、
前記電極を予熱する第2のヒータを備える黒鉛化炉。 - 炭素源である粉末から黒鉛を製造する方法であって、
導電性の坩堝の凹所に前記粉末を収容し、
前記粉末を制御された雰囲気下に置くべく、それぞれ閉塞可能な開口を備えた第1の端および第2の端を備え、前記第1の端から前記第2の端に向けた順に予熱領域、加熱領域および冷却領域に区分されるチャンバにより前記坩堝を囲み、
前記予熱領域において前記坩堝が前記加熱領域に達する以前に前記粉末を予熱し、
前記坩堝を前記第1の端から前記第2の端に向けて搬送し、
前記坩堝を搬送する過程において、柱状の軸と、前記軸の端に設けられ、球、半球、および縁が丸められた円柱よりなる群より選択された一の形状を有する頭部と、を備えた電極を、前記頭部が前記粉末および前記坩堝より上方に位置する第1の位置から、前記頭部が前記粉末中へ沈む第2の位置まで移動して前記粉末に接触させ、
電源から前記坩堝および前記電極を経由して前記粉末に電流を流す、
ことを含む方法。 - 請求項6の方法であって、さらに、
前記粉末の密度分布を調整するべく前記電極の前記頭部を制御された量だけ前記粉末中へ沈めることを含む方法。 - 請求項6の方法であって、さらに、
前記電極を予熱することを含む方法。
