Description
ルミナを含む砥粒を有する研磨体を含み、ガラス質ボンド材料は、[ΔAl2O3]=([VBMAl2O3−PBMAl2O3]/[PBMAl2O3]の等式により計算した場合に約15.0モル%という粉末ボンド材料のアルミナ含有量[PBMAl2O3]とガラス質ボンド材料の合計アルミナ含有量[VBMAl2O3]の間の合計アルミナ含有量の変化[ΔAl2O3]によって測定される砥粒の溶解を削減するのに充分な量のアルミナを有する粉末ボンド材料から形成されている。
本明細書中の実施形態にしたがって形成された5つの試料(試料S1、S2、S3、S4およびS5)と従来のボンドを有する5つの従来の試料(試料CS1、CS2、CS3およびCS4)を含む一連の試料を調製した。各々の試料について粒子溶解係数を試験し、以下にこれを説明する。
2つの試料を形成する。試料S6は本明細書中の実施形態にしたがって形成する。試料CS5は、実施例1の試料CS1と同じ特性を有する従来の試料である。とりわけ、試料S6およびCS5は、実施例1の試料と同じ構造を有するが、試料の焼成は915℃で行なう。
Claims (14)
- ガラス質ボンド材料の内部に含まれる微結晶アルミナを含む砥粒を有する最終形成済み研磨体を含む研磨物品において、前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、少なくとも15モル%のアルミナ合計含有量[CAl2O3]、30モル%〜70モル%のシリカ合計含有量[CSiO2]を含み、酸化カリウム(K2O)、酸化ナトリウム(Na2O)および酸化リチウム(Li2O)からなるアルカリ化合物の群から選択される酸化アルカリ化合物の合計含有量[Caoc]が11モル%以下であり、前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、1.0モル%未満の酸化リン(P2O5)合計含有量を含み、前記酸化リチウム合計含有量が0.01モル%〜5.0モル%の範囲内にある、研磨物品。
- ガラス質ボンド材料の内部に含まれる微結晶アルミナを含む砥粒を有する最終形成済み研磨体を含む研磨物品において、前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、少なくとも18モル%のアルミナ合計含有量[CAl2O3]、30モル%〜70モル%のシリカ合計含有量[CSiO2]、酸化カリウム(K2O)、酸化ナトリウム(Na2O)および酸化リチウム(Li2O)からなるアルカリ化合物の群から選択される11モル%以下の酸化アルカリ化合物の合計含有量[Caoc]、および1.0モル%未満の酸化リン(P2O5)合計含有量を含む、研磨物品。
- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が酸化リン(P2O5)を含まない、請求項1又は2に記載の研磨物品。

- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が少なくとも5.0モル%の酸化ホウ素合計含有量を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記酸化ホウ素合計含有量が5.0モル%〜30モル%の範囲内にある、請求項8に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記ボンド材料が、前記アルミナ合計含有量[CAl2O3]と前記酸化ホウ素合計含有量[CB2O3]間の、[CAl2O3]/[CB2O3]として表わされる0.2〜2の範囲内の比を含む、請求項8に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、酸化カルシウム(CaO)、酸化バリウム(BaO)、酸化マグネシウム(MgO)およびその組合せからなる群から選択されるアルカリ土類酸化物材料を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、15モル%以下のアルカリ土類酸化物材料の合計含有量を含む、請求項11に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、酸化バリウムの含有量よりも大きい酸化マグネシウム含有量を含む、請求項11に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記ガラス質ボンド材料が、1.0モル%〜8.0モル%の範囲内の酸化リチウム(Li2O)合計含有量を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の研磨物品。
