また、燃料の噴射から断熱圧縮が開始されるまでの間にEGRガスと燃料とが均一に混合するので効率よく燃料が改質される。これにより、ノッキングや失火の発生を抑制して予混合圧縮自着火による運転を可能とする。

Claims (5)
- 燃料改質装置を備えるエンジンであって、
前記燃料改質装置は、供給管を介して吸気管とEGR管とが接続され、排出管を介して吸気管に接続され、
前記供給管を介して燃料改質装置に供給される吸気と排気との混合気に対して燃料を噴射する主燃料噴射装置が設けられ、
前記燃料改質装置は、燃料が噴射された混合気を改質用ピストンの往復運動により断熱圧縮する改質用気筒から構成され、
前記主燃料噴射装置は、前記改質用気筒内に配置され、吸気の吸入行程又は圧縮行程の前半に燃料を噴射するように制御される
エンジン。 - 燃料改質装置を備えるエンジンであって、
前記燃料改質装置は、供給管を介して吸気管とEGR管とが接続され、排出管を介して吸気管に接続され、
前記供給管を介して燃料改質装置に供給される吸気と排気との混合気に対して燃料を噴射する主燃料噴射装置が設けられ、
前記燃料改質装置は、燃料が噴射された混合気を改質用ピストンの往復運動により断熱圧縮する改質用気筒から構成され、
前記主燃料噴射装置は、前記供給管に配置され、前記燃料改質用気筒に吸気と排気との混合気が供給される際に燃料を噴射するように制御される
エンジン。 - 前記エンジンの出力用気筒に副燃料噴射装置が設けられ、
前記副燃料噴射装置は、前記エンジンの出力用気筒の断熱圧縮行程又は膨張行程前半に燃料を噴射するように制御される
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のエンジン。 - 燃料改質装置を備えるエンジンであって、
前記燃料改質装置は、供給管を介して吸気管とEGR管とが接続され、排出管を介して吸気管に接続され、
前記供給管を介して燃料改質装置に供給される吸気と排気との混合気に対して燃料を噴射する主燃料噴射装置が設けられ、
前記エンジンの出力用気筒に副燃料噴射装置が設けられ、
前記副燃料噴射装置は、前記エンジンの出力用気筒の断熱圧縮行程又は膨張行程前半に燃料を噴射するように制御される
エンジン。 - 前記排出管に燃料改質装置から排出される混合気を冷却する改質燃料用インタークーラーが設けられる
請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載のエンジン。
