図4は、モータジェネレータMG1,MG2の正常動作時に用いられる変速線図である。図4を参照して、横軸は車速を表し、縦軸はアクセル開度を表す。
モータジェネレータMG1は故障する場合がある。ECU1000は、レゾルバ91、監視センサ95、または過電流センサ96からの検出結果が異常値を示す場合に、モータジェネレータMG1の故障と判断することができる。なお、モータジェネレータMG1の故障には、モータジェネレータMG1の状態を検出するための上記各センサ自体の故障を含む。
モータジェネレータMG2も故障する場合がある。モータジェネレータMG2の故障は、モータジェネレータMG1の故障と同様であるため、詳細な説明を繰り返さない。モータジェネレータMG2が故障した場合、モータジェネレータMG1で発電しながら直達トルクで走行する必要がある。直達トルクとは、エンジン100から動力分割機構300を介してプロペラシャフト430に機械的に直接伝達されるトルクである。

前記内燃機関の出力軸、ならびに前記第1および第2の回転電機の回転軸にそれぞれ連結される第1〜第3の回転要素を含む動力分割機構と、
駆動軸と、
前記第2の回転電機と前記駆動軸との間に設けられた、複数の変速段を有する有段式の変速機と、
前記変速機を制御する制御部とを備え、
前記制御部は、前記第1の回転電機が故障した場合に、前記第2の回転電機が故障した場合よりも、前記変速機における選択可能な変速段の数を制限する、車両。 - 前記第1の回転電機が故障した場合における前記選択可能な変速段には、変速比が1である直結段が含まれる、請求項1に記載の車両。
- 前記第1の回転電機が故障した場合に使用される第1の変速線図は、前記第1の回転電機が故障していない場合に使用される第2の変速線図と比べて、前記直結段を示す領域が広い、請求項2に記載の車両。
- 前記第1の変速線図は、前記直結段と、前記直結段よりも変速比が大きい第1速段とを前記選択可能な変速段とする変速線図であり、
前記第2の変速線図は、前記第1の変速線図よりも多くの変速段を前記選択可能な変速段とする変速線図である、請求項3に記載の車両。 - 前記車両は、前記第1の回転電機の回転に応じて充放電が実行される蓄電装置をさらに備え、
前記制御部は、前記第2の回転電機が故障した場合には、前記蓄電装置のSOCに基づいて、前記変速機に前記変速を実行させる、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の車両。
