L1<L2
となり、よって交差配線した方がストレート配線よりもバレル54内の必要スペースが狭くて済み、その分、バレル54を小型化することができる。このようなL1とL2の差は2つの光コネクタ51のピッチが光ケーブル60の2本の光ファイバのピッチよりも大きいことに起因する。
(1)外形が角型(方形以外も含む)のバレルに1つの光コネクタを保持
(2)外形が丸型のバレルにおいて、バレルの中心から外れた位置に1つの光コネクタを保持
(3)バレル(外形形状は任意)に複数の光コネクタを保持

Claims (4)
- 光コネクタがバレルの前端側に収容保持され、光ケーブルから前記光コネクタに至る光ファイバの余長部が前記バレル内に収容されている光コネクタ内蔵プラグであって、
相手方レセプタクルとの接続時における前記バレルの後端方向への前記光コネクタの移動に伴い、前記余長部はたわむものとされ、
前記光コネクタの移動方向と直交する方向において前記バレルの外形は角型とされ、
前記角型の対角線方向に前記余長部のたわみを誘導する誘導部が前記バレルに形成されていることを特徴とする光コネクタ内蔵プラグ。 - 請求項1記載の光コネクタ内蔵プラグにおいて、
前記誘導部は前記余長部のたわみを収容する溝状の収容空間であることを特徴とする光コネクタ内蔵プラグ。 - 請求項1記載の光コネクタ内蔵プラグにおいて、
前記誘導部は前記余長部を通すスリットであることを特徴とする光コネクタ内蔵プラグ。 - 請求項1乃至3記載のいずれかの光コネクタ内蔵プラグにおいて、
前記バレルには前記光コネクタが2つ収容保持されており、
前記2つの光コネクタに至る前記余長部は互いに交差するように配線されていることを特徴とする光コネクタ内蔵プラグ。
