Claims (22)
- 複数の板状型電池セルが順次に積層されている電池モジュールであって、
前記電池モジュールは、2つ以上の直方体のセルユニットが積層された状態で直列連結された構造になっており、
前記セルユニットは、2つ以上の電池セルが互いに密着した状態で直列連結された構造になっており、
前記電池モジュールのうち、最外側に配置された電池セルの電極端子(最外側電極端子)は、電池モジュールの外部入出力端子と連結されており、外力による破たんを防止するように、電極端子の突出方向に対して垂直な方向において残り電池セルの電極端子に比べて垂直断面積が広くなっていることを特徴とする、電池モジュール。 - 前記最外側電極端子の垂直断面積は、残り電池セルの電極端子の垂直断面積を基準に110%乃至500%の大きさになっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子は、残り電池セルの電極端子に比べて厚さがより大きいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子は、外部入出力端子と連結されるバスバーに結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子の厚さは、残り電池セルの電極端子の厚さを基準に120%乃至300%の大きさになっていることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池セルの電極端子は、アルミニウムからなる正極端子と、ニッケルメッキ銅からなる負極端子とで構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 正極端子の厚さは負極端子の厚さよりも大きいことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子のうち、正極端子の厚さは負極端子の厚さよりも大きいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子のうち、正極端子の厚さは0.3乃至0.5mmであり、負極端子の厚さは、前記正極端子の厚さよりも小さい範囲において0.1乃至0.3mmであることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子は、残り電池セルの電極端子に比べて幅(横幅)が大きいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記最外側電極端子の幅は、残り電池セルの電極端子の幅を基準に130%乃至200%の大きさであることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記バスバーは、ニッケルメッキ銅からなることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記板状型電池セルは、樹脂層及び金属層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケースに正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が内蔵されており、前記電池ケース両端に正極端子及び負極端子が突出していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記セルユニットは、電池セルが互いに密着した状態で金属ハウジングに内蔵されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 金属ハウジングは、2つ以上の電池セル、及び正極端子及び負極端子の部位を除いた電池セル積層体の外面全体を覆うように相互結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記金属ハウジングは、電池セル積層体の外面形状に対応する内面構造を有しており、組立締結方式で結合されることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記金属ハウジングの断面結合部は、金属ハウジングが互いに対面するように接触させた状態で加圧した時、弾力的な結合により噛み合う雌雄の締結構造になっていることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の電池モジュール。
- 金属ハウジングは金属板材からなることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記セルユニットは、2つの電池セルが直列連結されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 出力及び容量に対応して、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールを2つ以上備える、電池パック。
- 電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、又はプラグ−インハイブリッド電気自動車の電源として用いられることを特徴とする、請求項21に記載の電池パック。
