Claims (22)
- 太陽光照射を用いて水と炭素含有成分とから炭化水素成分を合成する装置であって、
集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材であって、水と接触し、光照射源に曝される第1の表面と、水素イオン伝導性膜の第1表面と接触する第2の表面とを有する部材と、
前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材の第2表面と接触する第1表面と、触媒部材の第1表面と接触する第2表面と、を有する水素イオン伝導性膜と、
前記水素イオン伝導性膜の第2表面と接触する第1表面と、炭素含有成分と接触する第2表面と、を有する触媒部材と、
前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材と前記触媒部材との間の直接の電気的接続と、を有し、
前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、p−SiC、p−GaP、p−InPおよびp−GaAsからなる群から選んだp型半導体材料を含むことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、半導体基組成物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、少なくとも1.23Vのバンドギャップを有する材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記水素イオン伝導性膜は、セラミックベースの膜またはポリマーベースの膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記水素イオン伝導性膜は、ナフィオン(登録商標)ベースの膜または炭化水素ベースの膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記触媒部材は、貴金属、卑金属またはカルコゲニド化合物を含む触媒組成物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記触媒部材は、Fe、Co、Ni、Cu、Zn、Ru、Rh、Pd、Ag、Re、Os、Ir、Pt、Au、Pb、S、SeおよびTeからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つの金属を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記触媒部材は、水素化触媒組成物、水素化分解触媒組成物または還元触媒組成物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記炭素含有成分は、一酸化炭素および二酸化炭素からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つの物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材の前記第1の表面では、電子と正孔のペアが生成され、同ペアが水と接触して酸素、水素イオンおよび電子が生成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生成した電子は、前記電気的接続を通して、前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材から前記触媒部材まで輸送されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記生成した水素イオンは、前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材から前記触媒部材まで、前記水素イオン伝導性膜を通って伝導することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記触媒部材の第2表面で、前記炭素含有成分が前記伝導した水素イオンおよび前記輸送された電子と接触して前記炭化水素が生成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の装置。
- 水と炭素含有成分とから炭化水素成分を合成する方法であって、
集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材に十分な波長の光を照射して、分離した電子と正孔のペアを生成する工程と、
水を前記生成した電子と正孔のペアに接触させて、酸素ガス、水素イオンおよび電子を生成する工程と、
前記生成した酸素ガスを除去する工程と、
前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材から触媒部材への直接の電気的接続を介して、前記生成した電子を、前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材から触媒部材にまで、直接輸送する工程と、
前記生成した水素イオンを、水素イオン伝導性膜を通して伝導させて、前記触媒部材に接触させる工程と、
炭素含有成分を前記触媒部材と、前記伝導した水素イオンと、前記輸送された電子と接触させて、炭化水素を生成させる工程と、
前記生成した炭化水素を除去する工程と、を含み、
前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、p−SiC、p−GaP、p−InPおよびp−GaAsからなる群から選んだp型半導体材料を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、半導体基組成物を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記集光性を有し、電荷を分離させ、電荷輸送させる部材は、少なくとも1.23Vのバンドギャップを有する材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記水素イオン伝導性膜は、セラミックベースの膜またはポリマーベースの膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒部材は、貴金属、卑金属またはカルコゲニド化合物を含む触媒組成物であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。

- 前記炭素含有成分は、一酸化炭素および二酸化炭素からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つの物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素含有成分は、アルコール、アルデヒド、アルカン、アルケンおよびアルキンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一つの物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記十分な波長の光を照射することは、太陽光の照射を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
