Description
搬送経路に沿って走行可能な台車ユニットに物品を積載して搬送する物品搬送装置において、
前記台車ユニットは、該台車ユニットを走行させる走行駆動手段と、該走行駆動手段に電力を供給する走行用蓄電手段と、を有し、かつ前記搬送経路の一部には、前記走行用蓄電手段を充電する充電手段が電源に対し並列に接続されて複数配置され、
前記複数の充電手段は、前記電源から供給される電力を一時的に蓄える充電用キャパシタと、充電切替器と、をそれぞれ有し、
前記充電切替器は、前記電源と前記充電用キャパシタとの接続と、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との接続と、を切り替え可能となっていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、電源から供給される電力が一時的に充電用蓄電手段に蓄えられ、この充電用蓄電手段を用いて走行用蓄電手段が充電されるようになり、電源から一度に大電力が消費されてしまうことを防止し、かつ走行用蓄電手段に充電を行っていない間に、電源の余剰の電力を利用して少ない電力で長時間に渡って充電用蓄電手段を充電することが可能となり、電源の電力供給を効率的に行うことができる。
前記充電手段は、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との間に生じる電位差を用いて前記走行用蓄電手段を充電することを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、充電用蓄電手段と走行用蓄電手段との間の電位差により短時間で充電が行えるようになり、かつ充電手段の構成が簡素化されて製造コストを低減できるとともに、充電用蓄電手段及び走行用蓄電手段以外の電気系統を作動させずに充電作業を行うことができ、充電作業の際に消費される電力を抑えることができる。
前記充電切替器は、前記電源と前記充電用キャパシタとの接続と、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との接続と、の切り換えに電界効果トランジスタを用いることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、電界効果トランジスタは殆ど内部抵抗がないため、電力の損失を抑えることができ、この電界効果トランジスタによって充電用蓄電手段と走行用蓄電手段以外との接続及び非接続を切り換えることで、充電切換手段が消費する電力を抑えることができる。
複数台の台車ユニットが前記搬送経路に沿って走行されており、該搬送経路には、少なくとも台車ユニットの台数と同数の充電手段が配置されることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、台車ユニットの台数と同数の充電手段によって、各台車ユニットに対して確実に充電ができるようになり、かつ1台の充電手段の充電用蓄電手段の電力が、複数の台車ユニットの走行用蓄電手段の充電に用いられて大量に消費されることを防止することができる。

Claims (4)
- 搬送経路に沿って走行可能な台車ユニットに物品を積載して搬送する物品搬送装置において、
前記台車ユニットは、該台車ユニットを走行させる走行駆動手段と、該走行駆動手段に電力を供給する走行用蓄電手段と、を有し、かつ前記搬送経路の一部には、前記走行用蓄電手段を充電する充電手段が電源に対し並列に接続されて複数配置され、
前記複数の充電手段は、前記電源から供給される電力を一時的に蓄える充電用キャパシタと、充電切替器と、をそれぞれ有し、
前記充電切替器は、前記電源と前記充電用キャパシタとの接続と、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との接続と、を切り替え可能となっていることを特徴とする物品搬送装置。 - 前記充電手段は、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との間に生じる電位差を用いて前記走行用蓄電手段を充電することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の物品搬送装置。
- 前記充電切替器は、前記電源と前記充電用キャパシタとの接続と、前記充電用キャパシタと前記走行用蓄電手段との接続と、の切り換えに電界効果トランジスタを用いることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の物品搬送装置。
- 複数台の台車ユニットが前記搬送経路に沿って走行されており、該搬送経路には、少なくとも台車ユニットの台数と同数の充電手段が配置されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の物品搬送装置。
