Description
リングギアは、エンジン停止後に惰性回転で減速するが、この場合、ピストンの圧縮膨張によるトルクの変動で回転数が脈動しながら停止する。したがって、例えば、特許文献1のように、エンジン始動装置(スタータ)にてリングギアとピニオンギアとの回転数を同期させて、これらを噛み合わせるためには、複雑な構成が必要となる。具体的には、リングギアとピニオンギアの回転数を取得または予測して、これらに基づき、スタータを制御して噛み合わせる複雑な構成が必要となる。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1におけるエンジン始動装置の分解図である。図1に示す本実施の形態1におけるエンジン始動装置は、モータ駆動力部10、軸20、ピニオン部30、吸引コイル部40、プランジャ50、レバー60、ブラケット70、ストッパ80、および減速ギア部90で構成されている。

Claims (4)
- スタータモータと、
前記スタータモータの出力軸側にスプライン結合され、軸方向に摺動するとともに、エンジン回転と同方向の回転に対しては空転する1方向クラッチを有するピニオン部と、
前記ピニオン部をリングギアとの噛み合い位置に移動させる押し出し機構と、
前記押し出し機構により押し出された前記ピニオン部のピニオンと噛み合い、前記スタータモータの回転力が伝達されることでエンジンを始動するリングギアと
を備え、エンジン停止後のエンジン惰性回転中にも再始動要求が発生した場合に所定の条件によって再始動を実施するエンジン始動装置において、
前記ピニオン部の前記ピニオンは、軸芯との噛み合い用の溝を内側に有することで、単体で前記軸方向に動作が可能であり、前記ピニオンの前記リングギア側端面と、非トルク伝達面側の歯面との間に、前記歯面に沿った曲面形状を有する面取り部が設けられており、
前記面取り部は、前記ピニオンが、初期衝突で前記リングギアの端面に当接し、前記面取り部に沿って引き込まれることで前記リングギアと噛み合うときの初期噛み合い長さが、所望の長さとして確保できるように、かつ、前記リングギアが回転中でも前記ピニオン部を瞬時に同期させて前記リングギアに噛み合わせることができるように、前記軸方向に対する大きさが、前記ピニオンの回転方向に対する大きさよりも大きくなるように設けられている
ことを特徴とするエンジン始動装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン始動装置において、
前記面取り部は、前記ピニオンが前記リングギアに対して完全に噛み合った状態で、前記リングギアに前記非トルク伝達面が衝突する際に、前記非トルク伝達面の前記軸方向の長さが残るように設けられている
ことを特徴とするエンジン始動装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載のエンジン始動装置において、
前記ピニオンは、前記リングギア側の歯先外径部に、歯先外径に沿った2段目の面取り部がさらに設けられている
ことを特徴とするエンジン始動装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載エンジン始動装置において、
前記面取り部は、鍛造で作成される
ことを特徴とするエンジン始動装置。
