Description
本出願は、2010年6月3日に出願された「半導体材料を含む複合部分を有する触覚刺激装置」という名称の米国特許出願第12/793,563号、及び2009年11月12日に出願された「タッチ入力のためのインターフェイス装置」という名称の米国仮特許出願第61/260,554号からの優先権を請求するものであり、これらの特許出願の開示は引用により本明細書に組み入れられる。
この電圧U1は、電圧源706からの駆動電圧eよりも低い。以下で例示としてより詳細に説明するように、触覚刺激装置700の基準電位を浮遊電位とすることもでき、これにより身体部位を対象にする電界をさらに減少させることができる。いくつかの実施形態は、静電容量C1をC2の静電容量よりも低く維持することを目指す。この場合、少なくとも静電容量C1はC2よりも大幅に高くない。他の実施形態は、例えば触覚刺激装置700の基準電位をユーザに結合することによってC2を調整又は制御することを目指す。

Claims (16)
- タッチイベントを検出及び/又は特定するための容量手段を含むタッチセンサ式装置(902、3002)と、
第1の絶縁領域(252)、少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)及び第2の絶縁領域(1002)を含む少なくとも1つの複合部分(3004)と、
を備え、前記第1の絶縁領域(252)は、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)に近接するとともに身体部位(120)によって触れられるように構成され、前記第2の絶縁領域(1002)は、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)を前記タッチセンサ式装置(902、3002)から分離し、
前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)を、前記身体部位(120)上に電気知覚的感覚を生じるための、前記身体部位(120)に関する電位に充電するように構成された電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)をさらに備え、
前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)の導電率が、前記タッチセンサ式装置(902、3002)の前記容量手段の動作を妨げないように十分に低いが、前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)が前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)を前記電気知覚的感覚を生じる電位に0.5秒未満で充電できるほど十分に高い、
ことを特徴とする触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)の導電率が、前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)が前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)を電気知覚的感覚を生じる電位に0.2秒未満で充電できるほど十分に高い、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)が、導電性領域(1004)を介して前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)に接続され、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)の導電率が、前記導電性領域(1004)の導電率よりも低いが前記第1の絶縁領域(252)の導電率よりも高い、
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記第1の絶縁領域(252)及び前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)が共通の材料片から形成され、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)が、前記共通の材料片の一部にドーパントを添加することにより形成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記ドーパントが、複数のカーボンナノチューブを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)が、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)に電気接続されず、前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)が、前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)を前記電位に充電するための電界を生成するように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記電気知覚的感覚を生じる対象の前記身体部位(120)とは異なる第2の身体部位(354)によって触れられるように構成された追加の複合部分(3006)をさらに備え、前記追加の複合部分(3006)が、前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)に接続されるとともに、前記触覚刺激装置(3000)の基準電位と前記第2の身体部位(354)の間の電位差を減少させるための接地接続を提供するように構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の触覚刺激装置(3000)。 - 前記追加の複合部分(3006)が、前記電圧源(242、706、810、6008、6009)に接続された追加の導電性領域(1004’)と、追加の半導体領域(254’)と、前記追加の導電性領域(1004’)と前記追加の半導体領域(254’)の間に配置された追加の絶縁領域(252’)とを含み、
前記追加の半導体領域(254’)が、前記第2の身体部位(354)によって触れられるように構成された表面を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の触覚刺激装置(3000)。 - 前記タッチセンサ式装置(3002)が、前記少なくとも1つの複合部分(3004)内に存在するタッチスクリーンパネル(160,902)であるか、又は、前記タッチセンサ式装置(3002)が、前記少なくとも1つの複合部分(3004)内に存在するタッチスクリーンパネル(160,902)を含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の触覚刺激装置(3000)。 - 前記第1の絶縁領域(252)及び/又は前記追加の絶縁領域(252’)がガラスを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)が、半導体透明ポリマー化合物を含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の触覚刺激装置(900、3000)。 - 前記第1の絶縁領域(252)が、第1の表面と、前記第1の表面とは反対側の第2の表面とを有し、前記第1の表面が、前記身体部位(120)によって触れられるように構成され、前記第2の表面上に半導体材料の層が広がり、前記層を前記少なくとも1つの半導体領域(254)とする、
