このようにして、従来の水準に比べて改善された非線形性、再現性、および高電流領域(ESD,8/20)における安定性が実現され、それと同時に、高い粒子境界抵抗に基づいて低減された漏れ電流が実現される。上述した利点は、実施形態の中で詳細に説明される。
1つの実施形態では、バリスタセラミックは、ZnOを主成分として、Pr3+/Pr4+を0.1〜3原子%の割合で、Co2+/Co3+を0.1〜10原子%の割合で、Ca2+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で、Si4+を0.001〜0.5原子%の割合で、Al3+を0.001〜0.1原子%の割合で、Cr3+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で、およびB3+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で含む。
1つの実施形態では、バリスタ材料の各元素の比率は97.8原子%のZn、1.5原子%のCo、0.1原子%のCr、0.02原子%のSi、0.02原子%のCa、0.002原子%のB、および0.006原子%のAlである。これらの成分は、酸化された形態または固定された形態で上に挙げた比率で定量され(A1)、予備粉砕され(A2)、乾燥され(A3)、ふるいにかけられ(A4)、引き続いて400℃〜1000℃の間で焼成され(A5)、再粉砕され(A6)、噴霧乾燥され(A7)、ふるいにかけられる(A8)。

安定性試験は80%AVRの条件下で125℃で実施した。漏れ電流ILは、この条件のもとでは増加特性を有していないほうがよい。

Crを0.001〜5原子%の割合で、
Bを0.001〜5原子%の割合で、含み、
セラミックはその他の金属を含んでおらず、アルカリ金属化合物を有していないバリスタセラミック。 - Zn2+を主成分として、
Pr3+/Pr4+を0.1〜3原子%の割合で、
Co2+/Co3+を0.1〜10原子%の割合で、
Ca2+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で、
Si4+を0.001〜0.5原子%の割合で、
Al3+を0.001〜0.1原子%の割合で、
Cr3+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で、
B3+を0.001〜5原子%の割合で、
含む、請求項1に記載のバリスタセラミック。 - ESD防護のための設計形態を有する、請求項1または2に記載のバリスタセラミックを含む多層構成要素。
- 次の方法ステップ:
a)未加工セラミック材料の焼成、
b)スラリーの製造、
c)グリーンシートの作成、
d)グリーンシートのバインダ除去、
e)d)のグリーンシートの焼結、
を含む、請求項1または2に記載のバリスタセラミックの製造方法。 - ホウ素酸化物は、ホウ素酸化物前駆物質から遊離するか、またはホウ素含有ガラスの形態で添加される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- ステップe)における焼結温度が900〜1200℃の間である、請求項4または5に記載の方法。
