(a)マイクロファイバー・ウェブを用意するステップ
(b)フルオロポリマーを含有する含浸組成物を前記マイクロファイバー・ウェブに含浸させるステップ
(c)含浸させたマイクロファイバー・ウェブを乾燥するステップ
(d)乾燥した前記含浸マイクロファイバー・ウェブの片面のみに、ポリウレタンを含有するコーティング組成物を適用するステップ
(e)前記ステップ(d)で得たマイクロファイバー・ウェブを熱処理するステップ
(α)放射線防護材と、
(β)本発明の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブと、
を含んでなる。被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブのポリウレタン・コート面が放射線防護材の側になるようにして、前記の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブを放射線防護材の少なくとも1つの面に設ける。
本発明は、被覆したマイクロファイバー・ウェブに関するものである。前記の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブは、
(i)フルオロポリマーを含浸させたマイクロファイバー・ウェブと、
(ii)マイクロファイバー・ウェブの片面のみに存在するポリウレタン含有レイヤーとを具備する。
ペルフルオロアルキルユニット−任意選択のスペーサー−重合性基

前式中のRはHまたはCH3である。nは0から約8であって、好ましくは0から約6である。mは約4から約12である。

本発明の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブの製造は、種々の工程を用いて行い得る。好ましい工程の1つを次に記載する。
先ずマイクロファイバー・ウェブを用意する。出発材料として用いるマイクロファイバー・ウェブは、上記で詳細に記載したものである。
フルオロポリマーを含有する含浸組成物を、マイクロファイバー・ウェブに含浸させる。適当なフルオロポリマーは上記記載のものである。
含浸後、含浸したマイクロファイバー・ウェブを乾燥する。
処理液ピックアップ率(Ti)[%]=100×(mwet(Ti)-mdry(Ti))/mdry(Ti)
乾燥ステップ後、乾燥した含浸マイクロファイバー・ウェブの片面のみに、ポリウレタンを含有するコーティング組成物を適用する。ポリウレタン含有レイヤーの成分は上記で詳細に記載した。
浸透度=100×d1/d2
ステップ(e)では、ステップ(d)で得られた(任意選択で乾燥した)被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブを熱処理する。このステップの条件選択は、フルオロポリマー分子の再配向が起こるように行う。
本発明の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブは、放射線防護装置中の放射線防護材の被覆として用いることができる。この場合には、放射線防護材の少なくとも1つの面に被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブを設ける。この際には、ポリウレタン・コート面が放射線防護材の側にあるようにする。

- (i)フルオロポリマーを含浸させたマイクロファイバー・ウェブと、
(ii)前記マイクロファイバー・ウェブの片面のみに存在するポリウレタン含有レイヤーと、を備える被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブ、または
(a)マイクロファイバー・ウェブを用意するステップと、
(b)フルオロポリマーを含有する含浸組成物を前記マイクロファイバー・ウェブに含浸させるステップと、
(c)前記含浸マイクロファイバー・ウェブを乾燥するステップと、
(d)乾燥した前記含浸マイクロファイバー・ウェブの片面のみに、ポリウレタンを含有するコーティング組成物を適用するステップと、
(e)前記(d)のステップで得たマイクロファイバー・ウェブを熱処理するステップと、
を含む製造方法により得られる被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブの放射線防護材の被覆としての使用であって、
放射線防護材の少なくとも1つの面に被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブを備え、
ポリウレタン・コート面が放射線防護材の側にあることを特徴とする被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブの使用。 - 未被覆のマイクロファイバー・ウェブ100gにつきフルオロポリマーが0.2gから5gであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の被覆マイクロファイバー・ウェブの使用。
