Description

Claims (21)
- 基端部分と、屈曲自在な先端部分とを有する細長コアと、
その屈曲自在な先端が当初の軸方向長さより圧縮されてしまう状態をもたらす繰り返し屈曲に起因して前記細長コアの前記屈曲自在な先端部分が軸方向に縮むことを低減するように構成されており、前記コアの外側であって前記先端部分に配置されており、長手方向に貫通している中心開孔を備えているストラットと、
前記ストラットの先端側に連結されている操縦リングと、
前記操縦リングに連結されているとともに、前記コアの前記基端部分まで延在しており、前記ストラットの半径方向外側であって前記中心開孔の完全に外側に配置されている複数本の操縦ワイヤと、
前記コアの外側において前記ストラットの基端側に連結されているコイルと、
複数本の編み込まれたワイヤで構成されているとともに、前記操縦ワイヤを取り囲んでいるワイヤメッシュと、
を含む医療装置。 - 前記ワイヤメッシュが前記複数本の操縦ワイヤの一部を取り囲んでいる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、第1細長ロッドと第2細長ロッドによって一体に連結されている第1環状端部部材と第2環状端部部材とを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットと前記コアとが実質的に同軸関係にあり、且つ、前記第1ロッドが前記第2ロッドから約180度の位置に配置されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、複数個の撓み結節点で交差する複数個の離間したらせん状要素を含む格子によって一体に連結されている第1環状端部部材と第2環状端部部材とを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記格子が4個のらせん状要素を備える、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記格子が8個のらせん状要素を備える、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットと前記コアとが実質的に同軸関係で連結されている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、らせん状をなす連続したワイヤ要素により構成されているコイルを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コイルと前記コアとが実質的に同軸関係にある、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、所定の厚みの壁を有するとともに、その壁を貫通して形成されている複数本のスロットを有する管を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記スロットが円周方向に伸びている、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記スロットが、直径を隔てて両側に位置する2列の第1ペアと、直径を隔てて両側に位置する2列の第2ペアに配列される、請求項12に記載の装置。
- 直径を隔てて両側にある第1ペアの一方の列のスロットと他方の列のスロットの位置が揃っている、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 直径を隔てて両側にある第1ペアのスロットが、直径を隔てて両側にある第2ペアのスロットから、軸方向にオフセットしている、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、ステンレス鋼、ニッケルとチタンとの合金、ポリイミド、ポリアミド、PTFE及びポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)を含む群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記材料がNitinolを含む、請求項16に記載の装置。
- 約5〜10ポンドの引っ張り力に応答する前記先端部分の屈曲が、約90〜270度の範囲である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ストラットが、前記先端部分の全方向への屈曲を許容する、請求項1に記載の装置。

その屈曲自在な先端が当初の軸方向長さより圧縮されてしまう状態をもたらす繰り返し屈曲に起因して前記細長コアの前記屈曲自在な先端部分が軸方向に縮むことを低減するように構成されており、前記コアの外側であって前記先端部分に配置されており、長手方向に貫通している中心開孔を備えているストラットと、
前記ストラットの先端側に連結されている操縦リングと、
前記操縦リングに連結されているとともに、前記コアの前記基端部分まで延在しており、前記ストラットの半径方向外側であって前記中心開孔の完全に外側に配置されている複数本の操縦ワイヤと、
複数本の編み込まれたワイヤで構成されているとともに、前記操縦ワイヤを取り囲んでいるワイヤメッシュと、
を含む医療装置。 - 前記コアの外側において前記ストラットの基端側に連結されているコイルをさらに含む、請求項20に記載の装置。
