(1) カテーテルであって、
第1の中央ルーメンを有する第1の管状構造体と、遠位端と、近位端とを備える細長いカテーテル本体と、
第2の中央ルーメンを有する第2の管状構造体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記近位端に対して遠位である近位端とを有する偏向可能な部分と、
第1及び第2の対向する表面を有し、前記偏向可能な部分の少なくとも前記第2の中央ルーメンを通って延び、かつ第1のサブルーメン及び第2のサブルーメンを画成する、扁平梁と、
第1及び第2のセグメント及びそれらの間のUベンドセグメントを備えて構成される引張りワイヤであって、前記Uベンドセグメントは前記扁平梁の前記遠位端に固定され、前記第1のセグメントは、前記第1のサブルーメンを通り、かつ前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の中央ルーメンを通って延び、前記第2のセグメントは、前記第2のサブルーメンを通り、かつ前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の中央ルーメンを通って延びる、引張りワイヤと、
前記カテーテル本体を通って延びる前記第1のセグメントの一部分を囲む第1の圧縮コイル、前記カテーテル本体を通って延びる前記第2のセグメントの一部分を囲む第2の圧縮コイルと、
一対の第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットであって、前記第1のブラケットは前記梁の前記第1の表面に装着され、前記第2のブラケットは前記梁の前記第2の表面に装着され、前記第1及び第2のブラケットは、前記カテーテル本体と前記偏向可能な部分との間の接合部において又はその近くで前記梁を概ね囲む中空体を形成し、前記第1の管状体の遠位端が前記円筒体の近位部を覆い、前記第2の管状体の近位端が前記円筒体の遠位部を覆う、一対の第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットと、を備える、カテーテル。
(2) 各半円筒状のブラケットが、C字形の断面を有し、前記一対の第1及び第2のブラケットが、前記カテーテル本体と前記偏向可能な部分との間の接合部において又はその近くで前記梁を囲む略円筒体を形成する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(3) 各ブラケットが2つの長手方向縁部を有し、前記各ブラケットの2つの縁部が、前記梁の各々の表面に添着される、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(4) 各ブラケットが2つの長手方向縁部を有し、一方の長手方向縁部は非連結状態であり、第2の長手方向縁部が平坦部に接合され、前記平坦部が、前記梁の各々の表面に添着される、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(5) 各ブラケットが少なくとも2つの孔を有し、前記第1及び第2の管状構造体のそれぞれが、各ブラケットのそれぞれの孔の中に及ぶ少なくとも1つの連結結節点を備える内層を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(7) 前記梁が、前記第2の中央ルーメンを、第1のルーメン半部と第2のルーメン半部とに概ね二分し、前記扁平梁が、曲げ中立軸を有し、かつ前記曲げ中立軸から2つの反対方向に偏向するように適合され、前記扁平梁が、前記偏向可能な部分の前記第2の管状構造体の前記遠位端の位置又はその近くの遠位端と、前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の管状構造体の前記遠位端の中に延びる近位端とを有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(8) 前記梁が、摩擦を生じさせる面を備えた長手方向側縁を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(9) 前記梁の前記遠位端が、前記Uベンド引張りワイヤセグメントを受容するスリットを有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(10) 前記梁の前記遠位端が、前記Uベンド引張りワイヤセグメントを受容する貫通孔を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(12) 前記少なくとも1つのスペーサが押出成形物を含む、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(13) 前記スペーサのそれぞれが、前記引張りワイヤセグメントの前記一部分と前記梁との間の所定の離間距離を維持する、実施態様6に記載のカテーテル。
(14) 前記梁がテーパ形状を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(15) 前記梁が、遠位部分により狭い幅を有し、かつ近位部分により広い幅を有する、実施態様14に記載のカテーテル。
(17) 前記梁が、それぞれが異なる幅を有する隣接した矩形部分を有する、実施態様14に記載のカテーテル。
(18) 前記第1の管状構造体が熱可塑性材料の層を有し、前記第2の管状構造体が熱可塑性材料の層を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(19) 前記第2の管状構造体を1つ又は2つ以上の熱収縮性チューブの中に包んで管アセンブリを形成することと、
前記1つ又は2つ以上の熱収縮性チューブを加熱して、前記第2の管状構造体の周囲で復元することと、
前記第1及び第2の管状構造体の内層を再流動化させて前記連結結節点を形成するために、前記管アセンブリを加熱することと、を含む、実施態様5に記載のカテーテルの製造方法。
(20) 前記第2の管状構造体から前記少なくとも1つの熱収縮性チューブを除去することを更に含む、実施態様19に記載の方法。
Claims (19)
- カテーテルであって、
第1の中央ルーメンと、遠位端と、近位端とを有する第1の管状構造体を備える細長いカテーテル本体と、
第2の中央ルーメンと、遠位端と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端に対して遠位である近位端とを有する第2の管状構造体を有する偏向可能な部分と、
第1及び第2の対向する表面と、遠位端と、近位端とを有し、前記偏向可能な部分の少なくとも前記第2の中央ルーメンを通って延び、かつ第1のサブルーメン及び第2のサブルーメンを画成する、扁平梁と、
第1及び第2の引張りワイヤセグメント及びそれらの間のUベンド引張りワイヤセグメントを備えて構成される引張りワイヤであって、前記Uベンド引張りワイヤセグメントは前記扁平梁の前記遠位端に固定され、前記第1の引張りワイヤセグメントは、前記第1のサブルーメンを通り、かつ前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の中央ルーメンを通って延び、前記第2の引張りワイヤセグメントは、前記第2のサブルーメンを通り、かつ前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の中央ルーメンを通って延びる、引張りワイヤと、
前記カテーテル本体を通って延びる前記第1の引張りワイヤセグメントの一部分を囲む第1の圧縮コイル、並びに、前記カテーテル本体を通って延びる前記第2の引張りワイヤセグメントの一部分を囲む第2の圧縮コイルと、
一対の第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットであって、前記第1の半円筒状のブラケットは前記扁平梁の前記第1の対向する表面に装着される第1の内向きに延びるフランジを備え、前記第2の半円筒状のブラケットは前記扁平梁の前記第2の対向する表面に装着される第2の内向きに延びるフランジを備え、前記第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットは、前記カテーテル本体と前記偏向可能な部分との間の接合部において又はその近くで前記扁平梁を概ね囲む中空体を形成し、前記第1の管状構造体の前記遠位端が前記中空体の近位部を覆い、前記第2の管状構造体の前記近位端が前記中空体の遠位部を覆い、前記第1及び第2の内向きに延びるフランジは前記一対の第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットによって概ね画成されるルーメンの中へと延びる、一対の第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットと、を備える、カテーテル。 - 前記第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットが各々、G字形の断面を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットが各々、前記半円筒状のブラケットのうち対応する1つの長さに沿って延びる2つの長手方向縁部を有し、一方の長手方向縁部は非連結状態であり、他方の長手方向縁部が前記第1及び第2の内向きに延びるフランジのうち対応する1つに接合されている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットが各々少なくとも2つの孔を有し、前記第1及び第2の管状構造体のそれぞれが、前記第1及び第2の半円筒状のブラケットのそれぞれの対応する孔の中に及ぶ少なくとも1つの連結結節点を備える内層を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁の前記第1の対向する表面に沿って延び、かつ概ね前記扁平梁の前記近位端と前記扁平梁の前記遠位端との間で前記扁平梁の前記第1の対向する表面に沿って延びる前記第1の引張りワイヤセグメントの一部分を囲む第1のスペーサと、前記扁平梁の前記第2の対向する表面に沿って延び、かつ概ね前記扁平梁の前記近位端と前記扁平梁の前記遠位端との間で前記扁平梁の前記第2の対向する表面に沿って延びる前記第2の引張りワイヤセグメントの一部分を囲む第2のスペーサとを更に含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が、前記第2の中央ルーメンを概ね二分して、前記第1のサブルーメンが第1のルーメン半部となり、前記第2のサブルーメンが第2のルーメン半部となっており、前記扁平梁が、曲げ中立軸を有し、かつ前記曲げ中立軸から2つの反対方向に偏向するように適合され、前記扁平梁の前記遠位端が、前記偏向可能な部分の前記第2の管状構造体の前記遠位端の位置又はその近くにあり、前記扁平梁の前記近位端が、前記カテーテル本体の前記第1の管状構造体の前記遠位端の中に延びる、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が、摩擦を生じさせる面を備えた長手方向側縁を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁の前記遠位端が、前記Uベンド引張りワイヤセグメントを受容するスリットを有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁の前記遠位端が、前記Uベンド引張りワイヤセグメントを受容する貫通孔を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記引張りワイヤが略円形断面を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1及び第2のスペーサの少なくとも1つが押出チューブを含む、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1及び第2のスペーサのそれぞれが、前記第1及び第2の引張りワイヤセグメントのうち対応する1つと前記扁平梁との間の所定の離間距離を維持する、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が幅に関してテーパ形状を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が、遠位部分により狭い幅を有し、かつ近位部分により広い幅を有する、請求項13に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が、矩形部分と傾斜部分とを有する、請求項13に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記扁平梁が、それぞれが異なる幅を有する隣接した矩形部分を有する、請求項13に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1の管状構造体が熱可塑性ポリマーの層を有し、前記第2の管状構造体が熱可塑性ポリマーの層を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1の管状構造体と前記第2の管状構造体との間の遷移部分を1つ又は2つ以上の熱収縮性チューブの中に包んで管アセンブリを形成することと、
前記1つ又は2つ以上の熱収縮性チューブを加熱して、前記遷移部分の周囲で復元することと、
前記第1及び第2の管状構造体の内層を再流動化させて前記連結結節点を形成するために、前記管アセンブリを加熱することと、を含む、請求項4に記載のカテーテルの製造方法。 - 前記遷移部分から前記1つ又は2つ以上の熱収縮性チューブを除去することを更に含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
