Description
本願は、2009年11月9日に出願された米国特許出願第12/615,016号明細書に対する優先権及びその利益を主張し、これは本明細書に全て記載されたものとして本明細書によって参照により援用される。
Claims (25)
- 基端部分と、屈曲自在な先端部分とを有する細長コアと、
繰り返し屈曲させることに起因して細長コアの屈曲自在な先端部分が軸方向に縮むことを低減するように構成されており、先端部分における細長コアの外側に配置されているストラットと、
を含む医療装置。 - (i)ストラットの基端側に連結されているとともにコアの外側にあるコイルと;
(ii)ストラットの先端側に連結されている操縦リングと;
(iii)操縦リングに連結されているとともに、コアの基端部分まで延在している複数本の操縦ワイヤと;
(iv)複数本の編み込まれた扁平ワイヤで構成されているとともに、操縦ワイヤを取り囲んでいるワイヤメッシュをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - ストラットが、第1細長ロッドと第2細長ロッドによって一体に連結されている第1環状端部部材と第2環状端部部材とを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- ストラットとコアとが実質的に同軸関係にあり、且つ、第1ロッドが第2ロッドから約180度の位置に配置されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- ストラットが、複数個の撓み結節点で交差する複数個の離間したらせん状要素を含む格子によって一体に連結されている第1環状端部部材と第2環状端部部材とを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 格子が4個のらせん状要素を備える、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 格子が8個のらせん状要素を備える、請求項5に記載の装置。
- ストラットとコアとが実質的に同軸関係で連結されている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- ストラットが、らせん状をなす連続したワイヤ要素により構成されているコイルを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- コイルとコアとが実質的に同軸関係にある、請求項9に記載の装置。
- ストラットが、所定の厚みの壁を有するとともに、その壁を貫通して形成されている複数本のスロットを有する管を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。

- ストラットが、ステンレス鋼、ニッケルとチタンとの合金、ポリイミド、ポリアミド、PTFE及びポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)を含む群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 材料がNitinolを含む、請求項16に記載の装置。
- 約5〜10ポンドの引っ張り力に応答する先端部分の屈曲が、約90〜270度の範囲である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 基端部分と、屈曲自在な先端部分とを有する細長コアと、
コアの外側であって先端部分に近接して配置される手段であって、繰り返し屈曲させることに起因して細長コアの屈曲自在な先端部分が軸方向に縮むことを低減する手段と、
を含む医療装置。 - (i)軸方向に
縮むことを低減する手段の基端側に連結されているとともにコアの外側にあるコイルと;
(ii)軸方向へ縮むことを低減する手段の先端側に連結されている操縦リングと;
(iii)操縦リングに連結されており、コアの基端部分まで延在している複数本の操縦ワイヤと;
(iv)複数本の編み込み扁平ワイヤによって形成されているとともに、操縦ワイヤを取り囲んでいるワイヤメッシュとをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の装置。 - 基端部分と、屈曲自在な先端部分とを有する細長コアを提供するステップと、
繰り返し屈曲させることに起因して細長コアの屈曲自在な先端部分が軸方向に縮むことを低減するように構成されたストラットを、細長コアの先端部分の外側に配置するステップと、
を含む、医療装置の作製方法。 - コアを覆ってストラットの基端側に連結されるコイルを提供するステップと、
ストラットの先端側に操縦リングを連結するステップと、
コアの基端部分まで延在している、操縦リングに連結された複数本の操縦ワイヤを提供するステップと、
複数本の編み込み扁平ワイヤにより画定されるワイヤメッシュで操縦ワイヤを取り囲むステップと、
ワイヤメッシュの外側に外側層を配設するステップと、
装置をリフローラミネート加工に供するステップと、
をさらに含む、請求項21に記載の方法。 - 所定の厚みの壁を有する管を提供するステップと、
管の壁を貫通して複数本の円周方向に伸びているスロットを形成してストラットを画定するステップと、
をさらに含む、請求項21に記載の方法。 - 前記した形成するステップが、
スロットを、直径を隔てて両側に位置する2列の第1ペアと、直径を隔てて両側に位置する2列の第2ペアに配列するサブステップ
を含む、請求項23に記載の方法。 - 管を提供するステップが、
管の材料を、ステンレス鋼、ニッケルとチタンとの合金、ポリイミド、ポリアミド、PTFE及びポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)を含む群から選択するサブステップを含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
