Description
Claims (4)
- 複数の気筒群が異なる排気通路に接続されてなる内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記各排気通路にそれぞれ設けられ、前記内燃機関から排出される粒子状物質を捕集する複数の排気浄化ユニットと、
前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量をそれぞれ検出する複数の堆積量検出手段と、
前記各堆積量検出手段により前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が再生開始閾値に達したことが検出された場合に、前記各排気浄化ユニットに燃料を供給して、前記各排気浄化ユニットに堆積した粒子状物質を燃焼させることにより、前記各排気浄化ユニットをそれぞれ再生する複数の再生手段と、
前記各再生手段による前記各排気浄化ユニットの再生中に、前記各堆積量検出手段により検出された前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量に基づいて前記各排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を個別に決定する再生温度決定手段と、
前記再生温度決定手段により決定された前記各排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度に応じて前記各再生手段を制御する制御手段と、
前記各堆積量検出手段により検出された前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が所定量よりも少ないかどうかを判断する判断手段とを備え、
前記再生温度決定手段は、前記判断手段によって前記排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が前記所定量よりも少ないと判断されたときに、当該排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を前記排気浄化ユニットの再生が可能な温度範囲内で強制的に下げる温度変更手段を有し、
前記制御手段は、前記判断手段によって前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量のうち何れか一方のみが前記所定量よりも少ないと判断されたときは、前記温度変更手段により当該排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を前記排気浄化ユニットの再生が可能な温度範囲内で強制的に下げた状態で、前記各排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度に応じた前記各再生手段の制御を継続し、前記判断手段によって前記各排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が何れも前記所定量よりも少ないと判断されると、前記各排気浄化ユニットへの燃料の供給を同時に終了させるように前記各再生手段を制御することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生温度決定手段は、前記判断手段によって前記排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が前記所定量よりも多いと判断されたときは、当該排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量に応じて当該排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を設定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記再生温度決定手段は、前記排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が少ないほど、前記排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を高くすることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記温度変更手段は、前記判断手段によって前記排気浄化ユニットへの粒子状物質の堆積量が前記所定量よりも少ないと判断されたときに、当該排気浄化ユニットの目標再生温度を前記再生手段による再生開始時点の目標再生温度まで強制的に下げることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
