Description
Claims (6)
- 燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁を有する2系統の気筒群と、前記各気筒群とそれぞれ接続される2系統の排気通路とを具備する内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記各排気通路にそれぞれ設けられ、前記内燃機関から排出される粒子状物質を捕集する2系統のフィルタと、
前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量を推定する排出量推定手段と、
前記排出量推定手段により推定された前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が少なくなるように、前記2系統の気筒群の前記燃料噴射弁を個別に制御する制御手段とを備え、
前記制御手段は、前記2系統のフィルタのうち前記粒子状物質の排出量が多いほうのフィルタに対応する前記気筒群の前記燃料噴射弁を、当該フィルタへの前記粒子状物質の排出量を減らすように制御し、前記2系統のフィルタのうち前記粒子状物質の排出量が少ないほうのフィルタに対応する前記気筒群の前記燃料噴射弁を、当該フィルタへの前記粒子状物質の排出量を増やすように制御することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が所定量よりも大きいかどうかを判断する手段を有し、前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が前記所定量よりも大きいと判断されたときに、前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が少なくなるように、前記2系統の気筒群の前記燃料噴射弁を個別に制御することを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記内燃機関の負荷を検出する負荷検出手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が少なくなるように、前記負荷検出手段により検出された前記内燃機関の負荷に対応する燃料噴射量を前記気筒群毎に補正する補正手段と、前記補正手段により前記気筒群毎に補正された燃料噴射量に応じて燃料噴射を行うように、前記2系統の気筒群の前記燃料噴射弁を個別に制御する手段とを有することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記内燃機関の回転数を検出する回転数検出手段を更に備え、
前記補正手段は、前記負荷検出手段により検出された前記内燃機関の負荷に対応する燃料噴射量と前記回転数検出手段により検出された前記内燃機関の回転数とに応じた噴射量補正マップを用いて、前記2系統のフィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量の差が少なくなるように、前記内燃機関の負荷に対応する燃料噴射量を前記気筒群毎に補正することを特徴とする請求項3記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記排出量推定手段は、前記各排気通路を通る排気ガスの空燃比をそれぞれ検出する2つの空燃比検出手段と、前記各排気通路を通る排気ガスの温度をそれぞれ検出する2つの温度検出手段と、前記空燃比検出手段により検出された前記排気ガスの空燃比と前記温度検出手段により検出された前記排気ガスの温度とに基づいて、前記フィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量を推定する手段とを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排出量推定手段は、前記2系統のフィルタの上流側と下流側との間の差圧をそれぞれ検出する2つの差圧検出手段と、前記差圧検出手段により検出された前記フィルタの上流側と下流側との間の差圧に基づいて、前記フィルタへの粒子状物質の排出量を推定する手段とを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
