Description
Claims (22)
- 吐出シリンジであって、
第一端部(14)及び第二端部(16)を有すると共に内部貯留部(18)を内部に画定する筒体(12)と、
前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)の近傍の前記内部貯留部(18)の容積を増減するために前記貯留部内(18)に摺動可能に配置されたピストン(20)であって、前記ピストン(20)は、第一端部(32)及び第二端部(34)を有し、前記ピストン(20)の前記第一端部(32)は、前記ピストン(20)が前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)に向かって移動するときに流体を該筒体(12)の該第一端部(14)から吐出するように中心線(45)に沿って突き出した頂部(44)を有する実質的に半球形状表面輪郭を有し、前記ピストン(20)は、液体を前記容積内に保持しながら、気体を該容積から流出させるように構成されている前記ピストン(20)と、
前記第一端部(32)と前記第二端部(34)との間の前記ピストン(20)上に設けられた第1の周方向に延在するワイパーシールと
を備えた吐出シリンジ。 - 前記ピストン(20)の少なくとも一部は、液体を前記容積内に保持しながら、気体が該容積から流出し易くなるようにテクスチャ加工されている請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記ピストン(20)の前記半球形状表面輪郭に画定される少なくとも1つの流路(46)をさらに備えた請求項1又は2に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記流路(46)は、前記ピストン(20)の前記第一端部(32)と前記ワイパーシールとの間に延在している請求項3に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記ピストン(20)は、弾頭輪郭を有する請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記貯留部内に形成された半径方向内方へ延在する出っ張り部(62)であって、前記ピストン(20)が前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)と係合するときに前記第1のワイパーシールと係合する出っ張り部(62)をさらに備えた請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記筒体(12)は、内壁を有し、該内壁は、前記ピストン(20)の前記半球形状表面輪郭に対して相補的な輪郭を、前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)の近傍に有する請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記筒体(12)の前記第二端部(16)の近傍で前記筒体(12)から半径方向外方へ延在している対向して配置された第1の耳部(74)及び第2の耳部(76)をさらに備え、前記耳部(74,76)のそれぞれは、前記耳部(74,76)の周方向長さよりも短い半径方向長さを有し、それによって、前記第1の耳部(74)及び前記第2の耳部(76)は、液体材料を吐出する前記シリンジの使用中の曲げに抵抗性がある請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記筒体(12)の前記第二端部(16)に取り付けられる蓋体との固定係合を提供するために前記第1の耳部(74)及び前記第2の耳部(76)のうちの少なくとも一方に設けられた少なくとも1つの戻り止め(78)をさらに備えた請求項8に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記吐出シリンジは、さらに、前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)に設けられたルアー(26)継手を備え、前記ルアー(26)継手は、出口オリフィスと、前記出口オリフィスと前記貯留部(18)との間を流体連通する出口通路とを含み、前記出口通路は軸線方向長さに沿って先細になっている請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記貯留部(18)と前記出口オリフィスとの間の流体の流れを円滑にするために前記出口オリフィスの近傍に設けられた半径方向外方へ広がった部分をさらに備えた請求項10に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記吐出シリンジは、アダプター(80)をさらに備え、前記アダプター(80)は、
第一端部(82)と、
加圧流体源に連結する第二端部(84)と、
前記筒体(12)の前記耳部(74,76)と係合するために前記アダプター(80)の前記第一端部(82)に設けられた第1のハブ(88)及び第2のハブ(90)であって、前記第1及び第2のハブ(88,90)のそれぞれは、半径方向に延在しているリム(92)と、該リム(92)から離間している端壁(94)と、前記リム(92)と該端壁(94)との間で周方向に延在している側壁(96)とを含む第1のハブ及び第2のハブ(88,90)と、
該アダプター(80)の前記第一端部(82)から延在していると共に、前記筒体(12)の前記第二端部(16)と係合するように構成されるシール(100)であって、前記第1のハブ(88)及び前記第2のハブ(90)が前記筒体(12)の前記耳部(74,76)と係合するように操作されたときにのみ、前記筒体(12)と気密に係合するシール(100)と
を備える請求項8に記載の吐出シリンジ。 - 前記アダプター(80)の前記シール(100)は、周方向溝部内に配置される封止部材を備え、前記封止部材は、前記第1のハブ(88)及び前記第2のハブ(90)が前記筒体(12)の前記耳部(74,76)と係合するように操作されたときに前記筒体(12)の内面と係合するように位置付けられる請求項12に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記ハブ(88,90)のそれぞれの前記端壁(94)は、傾斜面(98)を含み、前記傾斜面(98)は、前記筒体(12)の前記耳部(74,76)が前記第1のハブ(88)及び前記第2のハブ(90)と係合したときに前記封止部材を引き込んで前記筒体(12)の前記第二端部(16)と封止係合させる請求項13に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記第1のハブ(88)及び前記第2のハブ(90)の少なくとも1つの端壁(94)に形成された溝穴部(79)をさらに備え、前記溝穴部(79)は、前記ハブ(88,90)が前記耳部(74,76)と完全に係合したときに前記筒体(12)の少なくとも1つの耳部(74,76)に設けられた対応する戻り止め(78)と係合するように位置付けられている請求項12に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記吐出シリンジは、エンドキャップ(110)をさらに備え、前記エンドキャップ(110)は、
環状つば部(112)と、
前記つば部(112)の両側に設けられた第1の係合ツメ部(118)及び第2の係合ツメ部(120)と、
前記つば部(112)の半径方向内側の可撓性中央部分であって、前記筒体(12)の前記耳部(74,76)を覆うように前記係合ツメ部(118,120)をスナップ嵌めさせ易くするように撓んで変形することができる可撓性中央部分と
を備える請求項8に記載の吐出シリンジ。 - 前記第1のワイパーシールから離間している第2のワイパーシールをさらに備えた請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記第1のワイパーシールと前記第2のワイパーシールとの間の前記ピストン(20)の本体の領域は、凹状輪郭を有する請求項17に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記頂部(44)は、前記半球形状表面輪郭からなだらかに変化している湾曲した領域を含む請求項1に記載の吐出シリンジ。
- 前記吐出シリンジは、先端キャップ(150)をさらに備え、前記先端キャップ(150)は、

前記ピストン(20)が筒体(12)の第一端部(14)の近傍の前記内部貯留部(18)の容積内に液体を保持しながら気体を前記容積から流出させるように構成されており、前記内部貯留部(18)の前記容積を減少させるために前記ピストンを前記内部貯留部(18)内で前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)へ向けて移動させることと、
前記ピストン(20)の前記半球形状表面輪郭を前記内部貯留部(18)の前記相補的な半球形状表面輪郭と係合させることと、
前記ピストン(20)がワイパーシールによって画定される段部(41)を含み、前記内部貯留部(18)が相補的な出っ張り部(62)を含み、前記ピストン(20)の前記段部(41)を前記内部貯留部(18)内で前記出っ張り部(62)に係合させ、液体を前記ワイパーシールの下から押し流すことと
を含む方法。 - 液体を前記筒体(12)の前記第一端部(14)を通して前記内部貯留部(18)内へ送ることと、
