Description
本出願は、参照により開示内容が本明細書に組み込まれている、2005年5月4日に出願した米国特許仮出願第60/677,516号(件名「Scroll-Wheel Interaction Design」)、ならびに2005年5月24日に出願した米国特許仮出願第60/683,963号(件名「Scroll-Wheel Interaction Design」)に関連し、これらの優先権を主張するものである。

Claims (14)
- ユーザインターフェースにおいてスクロールモードとポインティングモードとを切り替える方法であって、
スクロールホイールを回転させて前記スクロールモードに入り、カーソルを動かす段階と、
前記スクロールホイールの前記回転に応答して、カーソル、およびオブジェクトのハイライトのうちの少なくとも一方を動かす段階と、
前記スクロールホイールの前記回転の後の、第1の所定の時間の間、前記ポインティングモードを無効にする段階と、
前記第1の所定の時間が終了した後に、ソフトフリーズ状態に入る段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記第1の所定の時間は1秒未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の所定の時間は300ミリ秒である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ソフトフリーズ状態の間に、所定量を超えるトルクをユーザがハンドヘルドポインティング装置に与えた場合に、前記ポインティングモードに入る段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ソフトフリーズ状態の間に、ユーザが所定秒数以内に所定距離だけリモコン装置を動かした場合に、前記ポインティングモードに入る段階をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 所定秒数以内の前記所定距離は25度/秒である、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記所定量のトルクはユーザ設定可能である、請求項4に記載の方法。
- コンピュータ上で実行されたときに、
スクロールホイールの回転を検出する段階と、
前記検出段階に応答してスクロールモードに入り、前記スクロールホイールの前記回転に応答して、カーソル、およびオブジェクトのハイライトのうちの少なくとも一方を動かす段階と、
前記スクロールホイールの前記回転の後の、第1の所定の時間の間、ポインティングモードを無効にする段階と、
前記第1の所定の時間が終了した後に、ソフトフリーズ状態に入る段階と、
を実施する命令を含むコンピュータ可読媒体。 - 前記第1の所定の時間は1秒未満である、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記第1の所定の時間は300ミリ秒である、請求項9に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記ソフトフリーズ状態の間に、所定量を超えるトルクをユーザがハンドヘルドポインティング装置に与えた場合に、前記ポインティングモードに入る段階をさらに含む、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記ソフトフリーズ状態の間に、ユーザが所定秒数以内に所定距離だけリモコン装置を動かした場合に、前記ポインティングモードに入る段階をさらに含む、請求項11に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 所定秒数以内の前記所定距離は25度/秒である、請求項12に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
