Claims (14)

前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスについてのゲーム状態情報を保存するステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2ゲーム機械によって提供された前記第2インスタンスのゲーム状態情報をロードして、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスのゲーム状態を、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスに位置する前記第1プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターに反映させるステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 第1プレーヤーが操作する第1ゲーム機械が、前記第1プレーヤーのためにゲームの第1インスタンスにおいてゲームのプレーを開始するステップであって、前記第1プレーヤーのアバターは前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおけるオブジェクトに影響を及ぼすことができ、前記オブジェクトはゲーム内の三次元物体を表す、ステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械とネットワークで接続されたサーバが、前記サーバとネットワークで接続され第2プレーヤーが操作する第2ゲーム機械から、前記第2ゲーム機械で実施される前記ゲームの第2インスタンスにおいて前記第2プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターの位置を示す位置情報を受け取るステップであって、前記第1インスタンスと前記第2インスタンスとは別個であり、前記第2プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターは前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスにおけるオブジェクトに影響を及ぼすことができるが前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおけるオブジェクトに影響を及ぼすことができない、ステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスにおける前記第2プレーヤーと関連付けられた前記アバターに関する前記位置情報に基づいて、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおいて前記第2プレーヤーのために仮想アバターを作成するステップであって、前記仮想アバターは前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおけるオブジェクトに影響を及ぼすことができない、ステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスの三次元空間における前記仮想アバターのグラフィック表現を、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスにおける前記第2プレーヤーと関連付けられた前記アバターに関する前記位置情報に基づく位置においてレンダリングするステップと、
を実行させるためのコンピュータ実行可能な命令が記憶されているコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。 - 請求項8記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2プレーヤーが前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおいてプレーするように招待されるとの指示を、前記第1プレーヤーから受け取るステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2ゲーム機械から、前記第2プレーヤーが前記招待を受け入れたとの指示を受け取るステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2プレーヤーのアバターを含むように、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスについてのゲーム状態情報を更新するステップと、
を更に実行させるためのコンピュータ実行可能な命令が記憶されているコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。 - 請求項9記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、前記ゲーム状態情報を更新するステップは、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスにおける前記第2プレーヤーのアバターの特性を用いて、前記ゲーム状態情報を更新するステップを含む、コンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。
- 請求項10記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスについてのゲーム状態情報を前記第2ゲーム機械に提供して前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスのゲーム状態を前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスのゲーム状態に同期させることにより、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおいて前記第2プレーヤーのアバターがオブジェクトと相互作用することを可能にするステップを更に実行させるためのコンピュータ実行可能な命令が記憶されているコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。
- 請求項8記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスにおいて前記第1プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターについての位置情報を前記第2ゲーム機械に提供して前記第1プレーヤーのグラフィック表現が前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスに出現することを可能にするステップであって、ただし前記グラフィック表現は前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスにおけるオブジェクトに影響を及ぼすことができないステップを更に実行させるためのコンピュータ実行可能な命令が記憶されているコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。
- 請求項8記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、前記仮想アバターのグラフィック表現は、前記第2プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターとは異なる前記第2プレーヤーの写真を含む、コンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。
- 請求項8記載のコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体において、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスに加入したいという指示を前記第1プレーヤーから受け取るステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2ゲーム機械から、前記第1プレーヤーが前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスに加入することを前記第2プレーヤーが許可する指示を受け取るステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記ゲームの前記第1インスタンスについてのゲーム状態情報を保存するステップと、
前記第1ゲーム機械が、前記第2ゲーム機械によって提供された前記第2インスタンスのゲーム状態情報をロードして、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスのゲーム状態を、前記ゲームの前記第2インスタンスに位置する前記第1プレーヤーと関連付けられたアバターに反映させるステップと、
を更に実行させるためのコンピュータ実行可能な命令が記憶されているコンピュータ読み取り可能記憶媒体。
