Description
本願は、米国特許法119条(e)に基づき、2008年1月22日に出願の米国仮特許出願第61/011,805号の利益を主張するものであり、この特許は、参照によりその全体を本明細書に援用するものとする。
従来のサンドイッチ型鋸ブレードは通常、2つの外側鋼層と、より弾性のある異なる材料(例えば、コルク、エポキシ、にかわ、樹脂、銅、または軟鉄)の中間層または「挟み込まれた」層とを含む。このサンドイッチ型ブレードの目的は、作業中の騒音を低減することである。前記のように、サンドイッチ型のブレードを含めた既存のブレードは、ブレードの周縁部から内側に延びる切欠きの形態のガレットを有する。これらのガレットは、カッタ間に空間を形成するように配置されることが多く、切断を手助けし、切断作業中および製造工程時の応力を軽減する。従来のサンドイッチ型ブレードによれば、両方の外側鋼製コアにあるガレットは完全に合致する。そのような構造により、ランドの長さが最大限になり、ブレード使用時に最大限の空気流がガレットを通過することが可能になる。
図1a〜1dは、本発明の実施形態によるオフセットガレットを用いて構成された丸鋸ブレードを示している。見て分かるように、丸鋸ブレード10は、一連のオフセットガレット16によって分離された周縁切断要素12を有する。
Claims (12)
- 第1の平面側および第2の平面側、中心軸穴、ならびに外縁部を有する円形コアと、
前記コアの前記外縁部にある複数の切断要素と、
前記コアの前記外縁部から半径方向内側に延び、前記コアの前記第1の平面側の第1の開口、および前記コアの前記第2の平面側の第2の開口をそれぞれが含む1つまたは複数のオフセットガレットであって、前記第1および第2の開口は隣接するが、少なくとも部分的に互いにずれて、前記オフセットガレットの少なくとも一部は見通せないものとされる、1つまたは複数のオフセットガレットと、
を含む丸鋸ブレードにおいて、
前記第1の開口は、前記コアの前記第1の平面側上に、かつ2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第一の首部分を含み、そして前記第2の開口は、前記コアの前記第2の平面側上に、かつ前記第一の首部分と同じ前記2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第二の首部分を含み、
前記第1および第2の開口間に重なりがなくて、前記オフセットガレットのどの部分も見通せないものとされる、丸鋸ブレード。 - 前記第1の開口の少なくとも一部が、前記第2の開口の一部の鏡像となるように、前記第1および第2の開口が対称に配置される、請求項1に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記第1および第2の平面側は、互いに動作可能に結合されて前記コアを形成する別個の部片である、請求項1に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記コアは、前記第1および第2の平面側間に結合された、音波減衰材料の中間層をさらに含むサンドイッチ型コアである、請求項3に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 隣接する切断要素間に少なくとも1つのオフセットガレットがある、請求項1に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 各オフセットガレットには、その形状に楕円性がある、請求項1に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 第1の平面側および第2の平面側、中心軸穴、前記第1および第2の平面側間に挟まれた音波減衰材料の中間層、ならびに外縁部を有する円形コアと、
前記コアの前記外縁部にある複数の切断要素と、
前記コアの前記外縁部から半径方向内側に延び、前記コアの前記第1の平面側の第1の開口、および前記コアの前記第2の平面側の第2の開口をそれぞれが含む1つまたは複数のオフセットガレットであって、前記第1および第2の開口は隣接するが、少なくとも部分的に互いにずれて、前記オフセットガレットの少なくとも一部は見通せないものとされる、オフセットガレットと、
を含む丸鋸ブレードにおいて、
前記第1の開口の少なくとも一部が、前記第2の開口の一部の鏡像となるように、前記第1および第2の開口が対称に配置され、前記第1の開口は、前記コアの前記第1の平面側上に、かつ2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第一の首部分を含み、そして前記第2の開口は、前記コアの前記第2の平面側上に、かつ前記第一の首部分と同じ前記2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第二の首部分を含み、
前記第1および第2の開口間に重なりがなくて、前記オフセットガレットのどの部分も見通せないものとされる、丸鋸ブレード。 - 前記第1および第2の平面側は、互いに動作可能に結合されて前記コアを形成する別個の部片である、請求項7に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記音波減衰材料には、コルク、エポキシ、にかわ、樹脂、銅、および軟鉄の少なくとも1つが含まれる、請求項7に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記切断要素には、結合された砥粒セグメント、砥粒の単層、または歯のうちの1つが含まれる、請求項7に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 第1の平面側および第2の平面側、中心軸穴、ならびに外縁部を有する円形コアであって、前記第1および第2の平面側は、結合材料および機械式留め具の少なくとも1つによって動作可能に結合される、円形コアと、
前記コアの前記外縁部にある複数の切断要素であって、結合された砥粒セグメント、砥粒の単層、または歯のうちの1つが含まれる複数の切断要素と、
前記コアの前記外縁部から半径方向内側に延び、前記コアの前記第1の平面側の第1の開口、および前記コアの前記第2の平面側の第2の開口をそれぞれが含む1つまたは複数のオフセットガレットであって、前記第1および第2の開口は隣接するが、少なくとも部分的に互いにずれて、前記オフセットガレットの少なくとも一部は見通せないものとされる、1つまたは複数のオフセットガレットと、
を含む丸鋸ブレードにおいて、
前記第1の開口は、前記コアの前記第1の平面側上に、かつ2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第一の首部分を含み、そして前記第2の開口は、前記コアの前記第2の平面側上に、かつ前記第一の首部分と同じ前記2つの隣接する切断要素の間に第二の首部分を含み、
