Description
情報層を1つ含む光学的情報記録媒体としてディスク1から22を作製した。基板として、ポリカーボネイト樹脂からなり、直径約12cm、厚さ約1.1mmで、溝ピッチ0.32μm、溝深さ約20nmのスパイラル状の溝があらかじめ形成されたものを用いた。この基板の溝が形成された表面上に、第1情報層として、Ag99Bi1からなる膜厚60nmの反射膜、(ZnO)90(Cr2O3)10からなる膜厚20nmの中間膜、Te36O54Pd10からなる膜厚25nmの記録膜、種々の材料および種々の厚さの保護膜をそれぞれスパッタリング法により、この順で形成した。この第1情報層の表面上に、紫外線硬化樹脂を用いて厚さ100μmのカバー層を形成した。
情報層を2つ含む光学的情報記録媒体としてディスク23から44を作製した。基板として、ポリカーボネイト樹脂からなり、直径約12cm、厚さ約1.1mmで、溝ピッチ0.32μm、溝深さ約20nmのスパイラル状の溝があらかじめ形成されたものを用いた。この基板の溝が形成された表面上に、第2情報層として、Ag99Bi1からなる膜厚60nmの反射膜、(ZnO)90(Cr2O3)10からなる膜厚20nmの中間膜、Te36O54Pd10からなる膜厚25nmの記録膜、(ZnO)90(Cr2O3)10からなる膜厚3nmの保護膜の各膜をスパッタリング法によりこの順に積層した。この第2情報層の表面上に、紫外線硬化性樹脂を用いて2P法により保護基板と同様の溝パターンを転写し、厚さ約25μmの分離層を形成した。この分離層の表面上に、第1情報層として、Ag99Bi1からなる膜厚15nmの反射膜、(ZnO)90(Cr2O3)10からなる膜厚20nmの中間膜、Te36O54Pd10からなる膜厚15nmの記録膜、種々の材料および種々の厚さの保護膜の保護膜をそれぞれスパッタリング法により、こので形成した。この第1情報層の表面上に、紫外線硬化樹脂を用いて厚さ75μmのカバー層を形成した。

Claims (8)
- 基板と、
カバー層と、
前記基板および前記カバー層に挟まれた第1情報層と
を備え、前記カバー層の側から光ビームを照射することによって、前記第1情報層に情報を記録し、前記第1情報層に記録された情報を再生する光学的情報記録媒体であって、
前記第1情報層は、記録膜と、前記記録膜と前記カバー層との間に配置された保護膜とを含み、
前記カバー層と前記記録膜との間の距離が0.5nm以上12nm以下であり、
前記追記型の記録材料は、Cr−O、Zn−O、Ga−O、In−O、Sn−O、Sb−O、Bi−OおよびTe−Oからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つを含み、
前記保護膜は、Zn−OおよびSn−Oからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つと、Cr−O、Bi−O、In−OおよびTe−Oからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つをそれぞれ含み、
前記保護膜において、酸素以外の全原子に対する、ZnおよびSnの合計の割合が50at%以上82at%以下であり、酸素以外の全原子に対する、Cr、Bi、InおよびTeの合計の割合が18t%以上50at%以下である、光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記基板と前記第1情報層との間に設けられた第2情報層をさらに備える請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。
- 前記第1情報層は前記記録膜と前記基板との間に設けられた反射膜をさらに有する請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。
- 前記第1情報層は、前記記録膜と前記反射膜との間に設けられた中間膜を有する請求項3に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。
- 前記第1情報層の溝のピッチが1μm以下である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の光学的情報記録媒体。
- 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の光学的情報記録媒体に、波長450nm以下の光ビームで情報を記録する光学的情報記録媒体の記録方法。
- 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の光学的情報記録媒体に記録された情報を波長450nm以下の光ビームで再生する光学的情報記録媒体の再生方法。
- 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の光学的情報記録媒体に、波長450nm以下の光ビームで情報を記録すること、および、光学的情報記録媒体に録された情報を波長450nm以下の光ビームで再生を行うことの少なくとも一方を行う記録再生装置。
