Description
かかる特徴によれば、境界位置を境とするベースゴム層の厚さ変化が120%未満ではベースゴム層の厚さを変化させたことによる快適性の向上があまり期待できず、又、300%を超えると、トレッド部の剛性が境界位置を境として極端に変化し、ハンドルの応答性が舵角により急変し、操縦安定性の悪化をもたらす。以上より、120%〜300%の範囲とすることによって、快適性と操縦安定性の両方を確実に満足させることができる。
かかる特徴によれば、リブ内での剛性が変化しないため、操縦安定性、耐摩耗性の低下をもたらしにくい。
次に、本発明の空気入りタイヤの効果を実証する比較実験を行ったので、それを説明する。実験に使用したタイヤは、前記実施形態を具現化した実施例1〜4のタイヤと、従来例のタイヤと、比較例1〜5のタイヤである。各タイヤのサイズは、225/55R17で、リムサイズが7.5J×17で、タイヤ内圧は、220kPaである。試験車両はトヨタのセルシオ(商標名)で、2名(荷重)が乗車して行った。
Claims (1)
- 車両装着時の外側と内側の指定が有り、トレッド部が少なくとも2層以上に積層され、前記トレッド部を構成する2層が貯蔵弾性率の異なるゴム材にてそれぞれ形成された空気入りタイヤであって、
前記トレッド部を構成する2層の厚み割合がタイヤ幅方向の外側と内側で異なり、前記トレッド部を構成する各層によって決定されるトータルの貯蔵弾性率が、タイヤ幅方向の内側よりもタイヤ幅方向の外側で高く設定され、
前記トレッド部がタイヤ径方向の内側に配置されるベースゴム層とタイヤ径方向の外側に配置されるキャップゴム層との2層からなり、
前記ベースゴム層は、前記キャップゴム層より貯蔵弾性率が低いゴム材にて形成され、
前記ベースゴム層の厚みは、タイヤ幅方向の内側よりもタイヤ幅方向の外側が薄く設定され、
前記トレッド部のタイヤ幅方向の任意の位置を境界位置とし、前記境界位置を境として外側区間と内側区間とを含む少なくとも2区間以上に分けられ、前記区間毎に前記ベースゴム層の厚みが異なりつつ、前記区間では前記ベースゴム層の厚みが一定であるよう形成され、
前記境界位置を境として隣り合う区間の前記ベースゴム層の厚さは、厚みが薄い区間に対して厚みが厚い区間が120%〜300%の範囲に設定されており、
前記境界位置は、前記トレッド部の溝の位置に合わせた位置であることを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。
