Claims (4)
- OLEDディスプレイの明るさと均一性の変動を補正する方法であって、
共通する電力信号と1つまたは複数の発光素子を局所的に制御するための局所的制御信号を複数の発光素子を備えるOLEDディスプレイに供給し、
前記OLEDディスプレイの各発光素子に情報を表示するための、第1のビット深度を有するディジタル入力信号を供給し、
前記ディジタル入力信号の所定数の最上位ビットがルックアップ表に与えられ、前記所定数の最上位ビットの範囲内で全体的補正因子が提供され、
前記ディジタル入力信号を前記第1のビット深度よりも大きな第2のビット深度を有する変換されたディジタル信号に変換し、
前記変換されたディジタル信号に、全ての発光素子に関する前記全体的補正因子を乗算することによって、全体的に補正されたディジタル信号を生成し、
前記全体的に補正されたディジタル信号に、1つまたは複数の発光素子に関する局所的補正因子を乗算することによって、補正されたディジタル信号を生成し、
前記補正されたディジタル信号をアナログ信号に変換して、前記OLEDディスプレイの発光素子を駆動するための駆動信号を生成し、
前記全体的補正因子は、前記ディジタル入力信号が公称値であるときのOLEDディスプレイの所望の明るさを、前記ディジタル入力信号が公称値であるときのOLEDディスプレイの明るさの平均値で除算した乗算因子であり、
前記局所的補正因子は、前記ディジタル入力信号が公称値であるときの発光素子の所望の明るさを、前記ディジタル入力信号が公称値であるときのOLEDディスプレイの局所的な明るさで除算した乗算因子であることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記全体的補正因子及び前記局所的補正因子を用いる代わりに、前記全体的補正因子及び前記局所的補正因子を掛け合わせることによって生成した複合補正因子を前記の変換されたディジタル信号に乗算することによって、前記補正されたディジタル信号を生成し、
前記複合補正因子の最大値は、所望の明るさでの前記OLEDディスプレイの予想寿命に対するディスプレイ材料の予想寿命の比を超えないように設定される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 上記発光素子を行と列の構成にして行と列によって制御し、共通する単一の局所的補正因子を、1つの行または1つの列の各発光素子に適用する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1つの行または1つの列の各発光素子に適用する上記共通する単一の局所的補正因子が、その行または列の発光素子の局所的補正因子の平均値、最大値、最小値のいずれかである、請求項3に記載の方法。
