Description
(1)まず、電気コネクタ22のピン22bをそれぞれ、対応する位置のビアホールに挿入し、ソルダリングする。
(2)次いで、このコネクタをレールシステムの後端部で覆う。すなわち、整合ピン20eを電気コネクタ22の整合孔22dに挿入してレールシステム20と電気コネクタ22との相対位置を規定する
(3)最後に、レールシステム20の位置を保持したまま、ホスト基板18の裏面からレールシステム20をねじ止めして、レールシステム20を基板18に固定する。
Claims (5)
- 開口を提供するフェースパネル、基板、該基板上に設けられたレールシステム、及び、電気コネクタを有するホストシステムと、
電気プラグを有し、前記開口を通して前記ホストシステムに挿入されることにより、前記電気プラグが前記電気コネクタと係合して該ホストシステムとの通信経路を確立するプラガブル光トランシーバと、
を備え、
前記レールシステムは、前記基板上に設けられた梁部と、該梁部の両端から前記フェースパネルへ向けて延びる一対の脚部と、を有し、該梁部と該脚部によって画成される空間に、前記光トランシーバが搭載され、前記梁部は、前記レールシステムに対する前記電気コネクタの位置を規定する位置決め手段を有しており、
前記光トランシーバは、前記フェースパネルとは独立に、該フェースパネル側の前記脚部の先端部にねじにより固定される、光トランシーバシステム。 - 前記電気コネクタは、その両側部に拡張部を備え、
前記梁部は、前記拡張部を収容する凹部を画成しており、
前記拡張部は孔を有し、
前記凹部は、前記位置決め手段として、前記孔に挿入されるピンを有する、
請求項1に記載の光トランシーバシステム。 - 前記光トランシーバと前記ホストシステムの間の通信は、該光トランシーバについての送信及び受信のそれぞれについて、伝送速度10Gbps以上の複数の信号により行われ、
前記電気コネクタは、前記複数の信号それぞれに対応するグランドピンを有している、
請求項1又は2に記載の光トランシーバシステム。 - 前記光トランシーバは、該光トランシーバの前記ホストシステムへの挿入方向に延びる溝を画成する一対の側壁を有しており、
前記一対の脚部は、前記光トランシーバの前記ホストシステムへの挿入時に、前記溝に沿って該光トランシーバを案内するためのリブを備えている、
請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の光トランシーバシステム。 - 前記レールシステムは、金属鋳造製であり、
前記電気コネクタは樹脂製である、
請求項1〜4の何れか一項記載の光トランシーバシステム。
