Description
第2のEGRクーラー15および過給空気クーラー9がこのように位置決めされることにより、圧縮空気および再循環排気ガスは周囲温度に近い温度にまで冷却されることができる。空気および排気ガスは小さな比容積を占めるように冷却され、これにより大量の空気および再循環排気ガスが燃焼機関のシリンダに供給できるようになる。
Claims (9)
- 燃焼機関(2)の排気ガスを再循環させる構造であって、燃焼機関(2)へ排気ガスを戻す戻りライン(11)と、前記燃焼機関(2)へ導かれる前に前記排気ガスを冷却するEGRクーラー装置(14,15)とを含む構造において、
前記EGRクーラー装置が、前記排気ガスに第1の冷却段階を行うようになっている第1のEGRクーラー(14)と、前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)の下流に配置され、前記排気ガスに第2の冷却段階を行うようになっている第2のEGRクーラー(15)とを有し、前記構造が、前記第2のEGRクーラー(15)内に生じる凝縮液を集めるための容器装置(15c)と、前記容器装置(15c)を前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)の排気ガス流路部に連結する連結ライン(24)と、前記容器装置(15c)から凝縮液を前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)の前記排気ガス流路部へ導く駆動手段とをさらに含み、また
前記駆動手段が、前記容器装置(15c)の底部(15d)における凝縮液レベルを検出するセンサー(27)と、前記センサー(27) からの情報に基づいて駆動を制御されるポンプ(25)とを含み、前記第1および第2のEGRクーラー(14,15)の内面に形成された煤付着物を前記排気ガス流路部へ導いた凝縮液によって洗浄する構成になっていることを特徴とする構造。 - 前記連結ライン(24)が、前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)の排気ガス用の入口部(14a)で前記排気ガス流路部に接続していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の構造。
- 前記容器装置(15c)が、前記第2のEGRクーラー(15)の排気ガス用の出口部に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の構造。
- 前記ポンプ(25)が、凝縮液を前記第1および第2のEGRクーラー(14,15)に供給すべきときに作動するようになっていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載の構造。
- 前記連結ライン(24)が接続している箇所である前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)の前記排気ガス流路部が、隣接する流路部に比較して局部的に狭窄されるように形成されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載の構造。
- 前記連結ライン(24)が、前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)への凝縮液の流れを調整できるバルブ(28)を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の構造。
- 前記駆動手段を制御して、凝縮液を所望時に所望量供給するようになっている制御ユニット(26)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6までのいずれか一項に記載の構造。
- 前記排気ガスは前記第1のEGRクーラー(14)において冷媒によって冷却されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項7までのいずれか一項に記載の構造。
- 前記排気ガスは前記第2のEGRクーラー(15)において周囲温度の空気によって冷却されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8までのいずれか一項に記載の構造。
