Claims (19)
- レーザ光を出射する光源と、
前記レーザ光を情報記録媒体に集光するレンズと、
前記情報記録媒体からの反射光を検出する光検出器と、
を備える装置であって、
前記情報記録媒体の記録層は、温度の上昇に伴って、電子のバンド間遷移による光吸収スペクトルの吸収端が長波長に移動することにより、前記レーザ光の吸収率が増加する材料を含んでおり、
前記装置は、
前記レーザ光の波長および波長変動の少なくとも一方を検出する波長検出部と、
前記情報記録媒体またはその周囲の、温度および温度変化の少なくとも一方を検出する温度検出部と、
前記波長検出部および前記温度検出部それぞれの出力に基づいて前記光源のパワーを制御する制御部と、
をさらに備え、

- 前記波長検出部および前記温度検出部それぞれの出力に対する前記光源のパワーの制御方法を記憶した記憶部をさらに備え、
前記制御部は、前記光源のパワーの制御方法に基づいて前記光源のパワーを制御する、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記情報記録媒体は、レーザ光の波長変動と、前記情報記録媒体またはその周囲の温度変化とに応じた、記録感度または再生感度の変化に関連した感度情報を記録しており、
前記制御部は、前記感度情報に基づいて前記光源のパワーを制御する、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置で用いることが可能な情報記録媒体であって、
前記レーザ光の波長変動と、前記情報記録媒体またはその周囲の温度変化とに応じた、記録感度または再生感度の変化に関連した感度情報を記録している、情報記録媒体。 - 前記感度情報は、前記波長変動および前記温度変化に対して、前記記録感度または前記再生感度が変化するかどうかのみを示している、請求項13に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 前記感度情報は、前記波長変動および前記温度変化と、前記記録感度または前記再生感度の変化との関係を含んでいる、請求項13に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 記録層と中間層とを交互に複数層備え、前記感度情報は前記レンズから最も離れる記録層に記録されている、請求項13に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の装置が前記情報記録媒体に対して記録または再生を行う方法であって、
前記波長検出部および前記温度検出部それぞれの出力に基づいてパワーが制御された前記光源が出力する前記レーザ光を、前記情報記録媒体に照射して、情報の記録または再生を行う方法。 - 前記制御部は、前記情報記録媒体に試し書きを行った結果に基づいて基準状態の前記光源のパワーを決定し、
前記波長検出部または前記温度検出部の出力が、前記基準状態時の出力に対して所定の値を超えた場合は、前記情報記録媒体に再び試し書きを行って前記光源のパワーを変更する、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記情報記録媒体に試し書きを行った結果に基づいて基準状態の前記光源のパワーを決定し、
前記波長検出部または前記温度検出部の出力が、前記基準状態時の出力に対して所定の値を超えた場合は、前記情報記録媒体に再び試し書きを行って前記光源のパワーを変更する、請求項17に記載の方法。
