Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態によるマルチPDPの斜視図であり、図2及び3は、図1のA−A’線及びB―B’線に沿う単位プラズマディスプレイパネルの断面図である。
上記貼り合わされた前面基板210及び背面基板220の側面には、上記前面基板210と背面基板220との間の内部空間を外部環境と隔離させる封止剤201が備えられる。また、上記封止剤201上には、上記内部前面電極211、外部前面電極221及び第1の側面前面電極212と同じ機能を持つ第2の側面前面電極202が備えられる。
Claims (10)
- 複数の単位プラズマディスプレイパネルが接合されることにより形成されるマルチPDPであって、前記複数の単位プラズマディスプレイパネルの各々は、
順次積層されて貼り合わされた前面基板及び背面基板と、
前記前面基板及び背面基板の側面上に形成された封止剤と、
前記封止剤上に形成された側面電極と、
前記背面基板の背面及び前記前面基板と背面基板の側面上に形成された機能層と
を含み、
前記機能層は、防湿層、絶縁層、電磁干渉(EMI)遮断層、及び保護層を含むことを特徴とするマルチPDP。 - 前記防湿層は、前記背面基板の背面及び前記前面基板と背面基板の側面に沿って形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 前記絶縁層は、前記防湿層上に形成された前記側面電極が前記EMI遮断層と電気的に短絡することを防止する役割を担うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 前記EMI遮断層は、前記絶縁層上に形成され、電磁気干渉現象を遮断する役割を担うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 前記保護層は、前記EMI遮断層上に形成され、前記単位プラズマディスプレイパネルを外部の物理的衝撃から保護する役割を担うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 前記EMI遮断層は、銀(Ag)、銅(Cu)、白金(Pt)、金(Au)、アルミニウム(Al)、鉛(Pb)、クロム(Cr)、ニッケル(Ni)のうちのいずれかの物質又はこれらの混合物質からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 前記防湿層と保護層は、アクリル、ウレタン、エポキシのうちのいずれかの物質又はこれらの混合物質からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマルチPDP。
- 複数の単位プラズマディスプレイパネルを製造し、各単位プラズマディスプレイパネルを接合してマルチPDPを製造するマルチPDPの製造方法であって、前記単位プラズマディスプレイパネルを製造する方法は、
前面基板と背面基板を積層して貼り合わせ、前記前面基板及び背面基板の側面上に封止剤を形成するステップと、
前記封止剤を研磨するステップと、
前記封止剤上に側面電極を形成するステップと、
前記背面基板の背面及び前記前面基板と背面基板の側面上に防湿層を形成するステップと、
前記防湿層上に絶縁層を形成するステップと、
前記絶縁層上にEMI遮断層を形成するステップと、
前記EMI遮断層上に保護層を形成するステップと
を含むことを特徴とするマルチPDP製造方法。 - 前記防湿層、EMI遮断層及び保護層は、ディッピング(dipping)法、ディスペンシング(dispensing)法、スプレー(spray)法、ブラッシング(brushing)法のうちのいずれかひとつ又はこれらの組み合わせを用いて塗布した後、紫外線の照射、熱処理、自然乾燥のうちのいずれかひとつ又はこれらの組み合わせを用いて硬化させることにより形成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のマルチPDP製造方法。
- 前記封止剤上に側面電極を形成するステップと前記防湿層を形成するステップとの間に、前記前面基板の全面上に光学フィルムを塗布するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のマルチPDP製造方法。
