Description
Claims (28)
- 流体中の検体を検査するための反応容器であって、開口した頂部と底部の排液開口部とを有する容器を備えており、前記排液開口部は、容器の底部表面を越えて延びる突起部を備えており、該排液開口部および突起部が、選択された高さの流体を支持し、かつ、流体の頂部と容器の底部との間に選択された差圧が存在するときに前記排液開口部を通り流体を放出することのできる表面張力によって流体のビードを維持するようになっており、反応容器が、排液開口部を通る流体の流れを選択的に制御するように排液開口部に組み合わされたバルブをさらに備えている、前記反応容器。
- バルブは、前記選択された差圧が該バルブを横切って生じない限り、流体の流れを遮断するように付勢されている、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブが受動的バルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブがダックビルバルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブが、反応容器から離れる方向に引かれて開口する、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブがアンブレラバルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブがフラッパーバルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブが、ばね付勢されたボールチェックバルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブが、排液開口部に結合された通路を選択的に開閉するように該通路に作用可能に結合された能動的バルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブがピンチバルブである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- 排液開口部に結合された疎水性のフリットをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- 突起部に結合された通路をさらに備えており、該通路にバルブが作用可能に結合されている、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- 突起部に設けられた疎水性のフリットをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- 流体中の検体を容器の側面に引いて、検体を排液開口部から離して濃縮するために、容器が磁場内に配置される、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- バルブが、排液開口部の下で真空を制御するためのものである、請求項1に記載の反応容器。
- 反応容器内の流体中の検体を処理する方法であって、
底部を有し、流体中に検体を含んでいる反応容器を支持するステップを備えており、該反応容器は底部に排液開口部を有しており、該排液開口部が、容器の底部表面を越えて延びる突起部を備えており、該排液開口部および突起部が、流体の表面張力によって容器内の流体のヘッドを支持するようになっており、
前記方法がさらに、
排液開口部から離れて検体を濃縮するように、検体を容器の側面に引くステップと、
表面張力に打ち勝って流体を排液開口部を通して放出させるのに十分な差圧を流体の頂部と排液開口部の底部との間に選択的に作り出すステップと、
排液開口部を通る流体の流れを選択的に制御するように排液開口部に組み合わされたバルブを使用するステップとを備えている、前記方法。 - バルブは、選択された差圧が該バルブを横切って生じない限り、流体の流れを遮断するように付勢される、請求項16に記載の方法。
