本発明の実施例1の生体材料を製造する第一のフローの概略図である図1Cを参照する。このプロセスは魚鱗を脱細胞化するステップ(ステップS20)からスタートする。続いて、魚鱗の洗浄操作(ステップS19)が行われる。洗浄後の魚鱗のリムルス試験における検査値は1,000Eu/ml未満でなければならない。本発明の実施例1の生体材料を製造する第二のフローの概略図である図1Dを参照する。このプロセスは魚鱗の洗浄操作(ステップS19)からスタートする。洗浄後の魚鱗のリムルス試験における検査値は1,000Eu/ml未満でなければならない。続いて、魚鱗を脱細胞化するステップ(ステップS20)が行われる。
本発明の実施例2の生体材料を製造する第一のフローの概略図である図1C、および第二のフローの概略図である図1Dを再度参照する。粉末形態の生体材料を製造するプロセスは、マトリックス形態の生体材料を製造するプロセスと類似している。上記の通り、粉砕後の顆粒には海綿状マトリックスと海綿状粉末との混合物が含まれる。ステップS23はフィルター処理を行うステップである。粉末形態の生体材料を製造する際に異なる点は、フィルター器具を用いて混合物中から粉末を分離する点である。そのため、粉末形態は一定の機械的構造を有する(ここでいう機械的構造とは、本発明は生体材料に対して酵素による処理を行っていないため、生体材料本来の機械的構造が完全に保たれていることを指す。すなわち、コラーゲンタンパク質およびヒドロキシアパタイト等の成分が保たれているのみならず、当該材料の天然の立体構造および鎖状構造もすべて完全に保たれている)。さらに、マトリックス形態と異なり、粉末顆粒の直径サイズは5,000μm未満である。
本発明の実施例3の生体材料を製造する第一のフローの概略図である図1Eを参照する。その目的は、魚鱗から、フレーク状もしくは不定形塊状、或いは特定の金型を用いて特定形状とされた生体材料を製造することである。このプロセスは魚鱗を脱細胞化するステップ(ステップS30)からスタートする。その後、魚鱗の洗浄操作(ステップS29)が行われる。洗浄後の魚鱗のリムルス試験における検査値は1,000Eu/ml未満でなければならない。本発明の実施例3の生体材料を製造する第二のフローの概略図である図1Fを参照する。その目的は、魚鱗から、フレーク状もしくは不定形塊状、或いは特定の金型を用いて特定形状とされた生体材料を製造することである。このプロセスは魚鱗の洗浄操作(ステップS29)からスタートする。洗浄後の魚鱗のリムルス試験における検査値は1,000Eu/ml未満でなければならない。その後、魚鱗を脱細胞化するステップ(ステップS30)が行われる。

- 魚鱗を脱細胞化し、さらに、顆粒に粉砕するステップを含み、前記顆粒には海綿状マトリックスと海綿状粉末との混合物が含まれる、
魚鱗から生体材料を製造する方法。 - 200℃以下の温度で前記海綿状マトリックスおよび前記海綿状粉末を押し出して、フレーク状もしくは不定形塊状、或いは特定の金型を用いて特定の形状を得るステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の生体材料を製造する方法。
- 魚鱗を粉砕する前に、魚鱗を脱水するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の生体材料を製造する方法。
