Claims (15)
- 画定された環境内のモバイル機器の近接位置を決定する方法であって:
各々が、無線モジュールと、詳細な位置情報を格納するマイクロプロセッサとを有している、複数の位置タグを準備するステップ;
前記複数の位置タグとメッセージを送受信する基地局を準備するステップ;
使用中のモバイル機器から、該モバイル機器のレンジ内の各位置タグへのクエリを受信するステップ;
前記位置タグから前記モバイル機器に選択パラメータを送信するステップ;
前記基地局が前記選択パラメータに基づいて、前記複数の位置タグから前記モバイル機器に実際に最も近い位置タグを選択するステップ;及び
前記モバイル機器に実際に最も近い位置タグから前記詳細な位置情報をダウンロードし、これにより、前記モバイル機器の実際に最も近い位置を検出するステップ、
を備え、
前記実際に最も近い位置タグを選択するステップは、
前記モバイル機器のレンジ内にある複数の位置タグの識別子を突き止めるステップ;
最多数の位置タグによって表される識別子を突き止めるステップ;及び
前記最多数の位置タグによって表される識別子を有している複数の位置タグを選択するステップ、をさらに備え、
前記最多数の位置タグによって2つより多い識別子が表される場合には、設置箇所に位置するそれらの位置タグを除外する、モバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。 - 前記実際に最も近い位置タグを選択するステップは、
前記モバイル機器のレンジ内にある複数の位置タグのフロア識別子を突き止めるステップ;
前記最多数の位置タグによって表されるフロア識別子を突き止めるステップ;
前記最多数の位置タグによって表されるフロア識別子を有している複数の位置タグを選択するステップ;
をさらに備え、
設置箇所の各個々のフロアは、フロア識別子を有し、かつ、
前記最多数の位置タグによって2つより多いフロア識別子が表される場合には、前記設置箇所の最上、又は最下のフロアに位置するいずれもの位置タグを除外する、請求項1に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。 - 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、前記複数の位置タグから、前記モバイル機器のレンジ内の位置タグの数を最初に決定するステップを備えている、請求項1又は2に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 前記レンジ内に単一の位置タグしかない場合に、当該単一の位置タグを実際に最も近くにある位置タグとして選択する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 強制使用フラグを有する位置タグは、自動的に前記モバイル機器に実際に最も近い位置タグとする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、
前記モバイル機器のレンジ内にある複数の位置タグの設置箇所識別子を突き止めるステップ;
最多数の位置タグによって表される設置箇所識別子を突き止めるステップ;及び
前記最多数の位置タグによって表される設置箇所識別子を有している複数の位置タグを選択するステップ、
をさらに備えている、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。 - 前記最多数の位置タグによって引き続き、2つより多いフロア識別子が表される場合に、残存する最上及び最下フロアのいずれもの位置タグを除外することを繰り返すステップをさらに備えている、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、
前記モバイル機器を、シリアルポートのプロファイル接続を介して、各位置タグに接続するステップ;
前記モバイル機器のレンジ内にある複数の位置タグから受信信号強度を決定するステップ;
最も高い受信信号強度の値を決定するステップ;及び
前記最も高い受信信号強度を有する複数の位置タグを選択するステップ、
をさらに備えている、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。 - 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、
最も高い受信信号強度を有している複数の位置タグにおける最大電力の設定値を決定するステップ;
最も低い最大電力の設定値を決定するステップ;及び
前記最も低い最大電力の設定値を有する複数の位置タグを選択するステップ、
をさらに備えている、請求項1〜8に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。 - 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、1つの位置タグを適宜選択するステップをさらに備えている、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 前記実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択するステップは、前記複数の位置タグが、前記選択パラメータに基づいて単一の位置タグに絞られた際に達成される、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- 前記モバイル装置に実際に最も近くにある位置タグを選択する任意のモバイル装置のモバイル装置識別情報を格納するステップをさらに備えている、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のモバイル機器の近接位置決定方法。
- インターネットにワイヤレスにリンクされた前記モバイル機器を有する個人と通信する、コンピュータ実行可能な方法であって、当該方法は、
請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法により決定された前記モバイル機器の位置情報を受信するステップ;
データバンクと通信するプログラムされたコンピュータ内で、前記位置情報及び前記個人に特有の識別子を使用するステップ;
その後、前記プログラムされたコンピュータの制御の下、前記個人による特別な要求無しで、前記個人に特有の識別子を用いて、前記位置タグから及び/又は前記インターネット上で、前記モバイル機器にメッセージを送信するステップ
を備える、方法。 - 前記モバイル機器は、携帯電話又はPDAであり、且つ、ワイヤレスに、短いラジオ・レンジで、ブルートゥース・プロトコルにより選択的に、位置情報をもたらすように通信する能力を有する、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記モバイル機器は、GPSレシーバを備えている、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
