Claims (5)
- 第1軸(Δ)を中心として点対称な断面を有する円筒形の入口ダクト(10)を具備する内燃機関用の吸気マニホルド(1)において、
入口ダクト(10)が、一端(101)で開放し、他端(102)で閉じ、
その側面が、第2軸(δi)を中心として点対称な断面をそれぞれがなす複数の出口ダクト部(Ci)に開口しており、
開放端部(101)が吸気流(F)を通過させることができ、
この吸気流(F)が入口ダクト(10)を前記第1軸(Δ)に沿って開放端部(101)から最後の出口ダクト近傍の閉鎖端部(102)まで移動し、
各出口ダクト部(Ci)がエンジンのシリンダに接続されており、
各出口ダクト部(Ci)の前記第2軸(δi)が入口ダクト(10)の前記第1軸(Δ)に垂直である吸気マニホルドであって、
前記各出口ダクト部(Ci)の側面は、前記入口ダクト(10)の側面の開口部において所定の半径(Ri)によって曲面部をなすように前記入口ダクト部(Ci)の側面に接続され、
入口ダクト(10)の開放端部(101)から各出口ダクト部(Ci)の前記第2軸(δi)までの吸気流(F)の経路長(Li)が長いほど、対応する出口ダクト(Ci)の所定の半径(Ri)が長く、それにより均等な通気度で各出口ダクト部(Ci)に吸気流(F)を分配することを特徴とする、吸気マニホルド(1)。 - 各出口ダクト部(Ci)の前記所定の半径(Ri)が、
Ri=A×Li+B
によって得られ、ここでRiとLiはミリメートルで表され、Liは入口ダクト(10)の開放端部(101)から各出口ダクト部(Ci)の前記第2軸(δi)までの吸気流(F)の経路長に相当し、Aは0.01と0.06の間で変動する係数であり、Bは8mmと11mmの間で変動する係数であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の吸気マニホルド(1)。 - 出口ダクト部(Ci)が同一の直径を有することを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の吸気マニホルド(1)。
- 各出口ダクト部(Ci)の前記所定の半径(Ri)が、エンジンの各シリンダ内でタンブルタイプの空気力学的運動を強めることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の吸気マニホルド(1)。
- 吸気マニホルド(1)が、ガソリンエンジン又はディーゼルエンジンに適用されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の吸気マニホルド(1)。
