Claims (3)
- 軸と装置本体の内周面との間隙に流動する被密封流体をシールするメカニカルシール装置であって、
前記装置本体の外面で前記内周面の周りに取り付ける取付面と、前記軸を囲む内周面に前記取付面側から順に機外へ向かって形成された嵌合面と環状溝面と遮断面と、前記環状溝面内の冷却室に連通してクエンチング流体が通る冷却用流体通路と、を有する不しゅう材のエンジニアプラスチック材製の取付部品、
前記取付部品の前記嵌合面と密封して移動自在に嵌合する移動面と、前記軸との間に間隙を形成する流路用内周面と、前記被密封流体と接触しない位置に配置されたばね手段により機外方向へ弾性的に押圧される先端面に設けられたシール面とを有する不しゅう材製の第1密封環、
前記第1密封環の前記シール面と密接して摺動可能な相対シール面を有するとともに、前記相対シール面の反対側に周面部を有して前記軸を囲んだ不しゅう材製の第2密封環、
前記第2密封環の前記周面部を密封に保持する保持周面を有するとともに前記軸に密封に嵌着した環状で不しゅう材のエンジニアプラスチック材製のシールカラー、
前記シールカラーの軸方向の機外側において回転軸に嵌着され、機内側の端面を前記シールカラーの機外側の端面に接合して前記シールカラーを保持する鋼、又はアルミニウム製の固定部品、
前記固定部品に固着され、前記シールカラーを回動不能に固定する固定ピン、および
前記シールカラーの前記保持周面と前記第2密封環の前記周面部との間に狭持されて前記遮断面と密接する第3シール面を有して前記冷却室から前記クエンチング流体が流出するのを遮断するシールリング
を具備することを特徴とするメカニカルシール装置。 - 前記シールリングは、樹脂材製であって前記保持周面と前記周面部との間に狭持されるリング状の取付基部から前記環状溝側へ筒状を成すシールリップを有するとともに前記シールリップの外周面に前記遮断面と密接するシール面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記取付部品の前記嵌合面と前記第1密封環の前記移動面との間隙の密封は、前記取付部品と前記第1密封環との間に配置されたエンジニアプラスチック、HNBR,フッ素ゴム、ニトリルゴム、EPDM、あるいはパーフロロエラストマ製のOリングにより成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
