Description
シールハウジングと一体のシールカバーに密封に取り付けられたシール面を有する固定用密封環と、
シール面に対向して密接可能な対向シール面を有する回転用密封環と、
回転用密封環を密封に保持するとともに回転軸に密封に保持されて回転軸と一体に回動する固定部と、
シール面と対向シール面との密接面より機外部側に配置されてシールカバーと回転軸との間をシールするシール部品と、
シール面と対向シール面との密接面とシール部品との間に形成された潤滑液を蓄える流体室と、
流体室に潤滑液を供給する供給孔と、を具備し、
シール面又は対向シール面の流体室側を潤滑領域面に形成するとともに、機内部側を自己潤滑領域面に形成し、潤滑領域面に潤滑液を導入する導入口を有するとともに、自己潤滑領域面に潤滑領域面からの潤滑液を遮断する環状の遮断溝を有するものである。

Claims (7)
- シールハウジングと軸との間隙で機内部の作動流体をシールするメカニカルシール装置であって、
前記シールハウジングのシールカバーに密封に取り付けられたシール面を有する固定用密封環と、
前記シール面に対向して密接可能な対向シール面を有する回転用密封環と、
前記回転用密封環を密封に保持するとともに回転軸に密封に保持されて回転軸と一体に回動する固定部と、
前記シール面と前記対向シール面とが常に接触する密接面より機外部側に配置されて前記シールカバーと前記回転軸との間をシールするシール部品と、
前記シール面と前記対向シール面との前記密接面と前記シール部品との間に形成された潤滑液を蓄える流体室と、
前記流体室に前記潤滑液を供給する供給孔と、を具備し、
前記シール面又は前記対向シール面の流体室側を潤滑領域面に形成するとともに前記機内部側を自己潤滑領域面に形成し、前記潤滑領域面に前記潤滑液を導入する導入口を有するとともに、前記自己潤滑領域面に前記潤滑領域面からの前記潤滑液を遮断する環状の遮断溝を有し、
前記導入口を円弧状に形成してあり、
前記導入口と前記遮断溝との間に前記潤滑領域面を形成してあることを特徴とするメカニカルシール装置。 - 前記回転用密封環又は前記固定用密封環を高強度緻密質カーボンで形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記流体室の前記潤滑液の圧力を前記機内部の圧力よりも低圧に保持されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記流体室の前記潤滑液が大気圧に保持されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記固定部には前記回転用密封環を弾発に押圧するとともに前記回転用密封環との連結部をシールするベローズを有し、且つ前記固定部は前記回転軸に嵌着するスリーブに保持されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記回転用密封環の前記対向シール面に、前記潤滑領域面、前記自己潤滑領域面、前記導入口および前記遮断溝を形成してあることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記自己潤滑領域面に複数の前記遮断溝を形成してあることを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。
