Description
ベローズの第2取付部の周面に密封に取り付けられてベローズの弾発手段により押圧される環状のシール面を有する固定用密封環と、固定用密封環のシール面と対向して摺動可能に密接する環状の相対シール面を有する回転用密封環と、回転用密封環と嵌合して密封に結合するとともに軸に密封に嵌着するシールカラーとを具備するものである。

Claims (5)
- 軸を孔周面内に装着したシールハウジングと軸との間の被密封流体をシールするメカニカルシール装置であって、
前記シールハウジングの前記孔周面の端部外面に取り付け可能にされて前記軸を囲む内周面と、前記内周面に形成される嵌合面と、前記シールハウジング側に前記回転軸を囲む内径方向のフランジ部とを有するシールカバーと、
第1取付部と第2取付部とを有し且つ前記第1取付部と第2取付部との間の筒状部が弾発手段に形成されて軸を囲むベローズと、
前記第1取付部に結合される結合部が内周に形成され、前記シールカバーの前記嵌合面に対して前記軸の軸方向に着脱自在に結合する係止面が外周に形成され、前記ベローズの外周面を覆うケースと、
前記ベローズの第2取付部の周面に密封に取り付けられて前記ベローズの弾発手段により押圧される環状のシール面を有する固定用密封環と、
前記固定用密封環の前記シール面と対向して摺動可能に密接する環状の相対シール面を有する回転用密封環と、
前記回転用密封環と嵌合して密封に結合するとともに前記軸に密封に嵌着するシールカラーとを具備し、
前記シールカバーにはフラッシング流体を供給可能なフラッシング通路が形成してあり、
前記フランジ部と前記第1取付部との間に、前記フラッシング通路と連通する流通路が形成してあること、を特徴とするメカニカルシール装置。 - 前記嵌合面に形成される断面と前記係止面に形成される断面とで前記ケースを軸方向に係止して固定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記フランジ部の内周端部には前記ベローズの内周面との間を環状の前記流通路に形成する案内仕切環を有すること、を特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記シールカバーは、前記内周面に前記嵌合面よりも大径に形成される環状溝をさらに有し、
前記シールカバーには、クエンチング流体を供給可能なクエンチング通路がさらに形成され、
前記シールカバーの前記環状溝と前記固定用密封環および前記回転用密封環との間に前記クエンチング通路に連通する流体室が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。 - 前記ケースの内周面には、ベローズの外周面を保持するダンパーが取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れかに記載のメカニカルシール装置。
