Description
Claims (4)
- 軸を嵌装した装置本体に取り付けられて軸の周面をシールするメカニカルシール装置であって、
前記装置本体の外面に取り付けられて前記軸が挿入可能な嵌合面を有すると共に前記嵌合面より機外側に空間部を形成するシールカバーと、
前記空間部に貫通してクエンチング流体を前記空間部内に供給するクエンチング通路と、
前記シールカバーに設けられて前記空間部より前記機外側に有する環状の絞り面と、
前記シールカバーの前記嵌合面と密封にして移動自在に嵌合する移動面を有すると共に前記空間部内にシール面を有する第1密封環と、
前記第1密封環の前記シール面と密接可能な相対摺動シール面を有すると共に外周に前記絞り面と対向する密封面を有する第2密封環と、
前記第2密封環を密封に保持すると共に前記軸と密封状態に固着するシールカラーとを具備し、
前記第2密封環の前記密封面と前記シールカバーの前記絞り面の間をシールして前記空間部内のクエンチング流体が機外へ漏洩するのを防止するパッキンを有し、
前記第2密封環には前記相対摺動シール面に対して軸方向反対側に接合面を有するとともに、前記シールカラーには前記接合面と対向する保持面を有し、且つ前記パッキンは前記第2密封環の前記接合面と前記シールカラーの前記保持面との間に挟持される取付部を有し、前記取付部と反対の密接面が前記絞り面に密接して前記空間部内のクエンチング流体が機外に漏洩するのを防止することを特徴とするメカニカルシール装置。 - 前記第2密封環の前記密封面は、前記絞り面の内周側に配置されて前記絞り面との間に微小な間隙を形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記パッキンの前記取付部に取付孔を有すると共に、前記取付孔が前記シールカラーに設けられたドライブピンに係合して回動不能に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
- 前記第1密封環が前記シールカバーの前記嵌合面に嵌合すると共に弾発手段により機外方向へ押圧され、且つ前記第2密封環が前記シールカラーに嵌合して機外側から前記相対摺動シール面を前記第1密封環の前記摺動シール面に密接に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2又は請求項3に記載のメカニカルシール装置。
