Description
しかしながら、これらの潤滑用グリース組成物は金属製部材からなる摺動部使用した場合の潤滑性には優れるが、特にはガラス繊維で強化された樹脂材料の潤滑性を十分に改善するものではなく、樹脂製部材もしくはガラス繊維強化樹脂製部材および金属部材からなる摺動部に使用した場合、金属製部材のみからなる摺動部に比して、樹脂製部材、特にはガラス繊維強化樹脂部材による金属製相手材の損傷が著しく、従来技術で解決することが困難であった。
「〔1〕リン酸塩、メタリン酸塩、二リン酸塩(ピロリン酸塩)、三リン酸塩(トリポリリン酸塩)、亜リン酸塩、二亜リン酸塩、次亜リン酸塩よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種のリン化合物および脂肪酸金属塩を含むことを特徴とする潤滑グリース組成物。
〔2〕(A)基油、(B)ウレア化合物、(C)リン酸塩、メタリン酸塩、二リン酸塩(ピロリン酸塩)、三リン酸塩(トリポリリン酸塩)、亜リン酸塩、二亜リン酸塩、次亜リン酸塩よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種のリン化合物 0.5〜20重量%および(D)脂肪酸金属塩0.5〜40重量%を含んでなる潤滑グリース組成物。
〔3〕脂肪酸金属塩が、8〜22の炭素原子を有する一種類又は二種類以上のモノカルボキシル脂肪酸またはヒドロキシモノカルボキシル脂肪酸とリチウム、亜鉛、マグネシウム、ナトリウム、アルミニウムのうちから選ばれた一種類又は二種類以上の金属塩である〔1〕または〔2〕に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
〔4〕リン化合物がピロリン酸亜鉛及び/またはリン酸三カルシウムの粉末である〔1〕または〔2〕に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
〔5〕脂肪酸金属塩が、ステアリン酸またはヒドロキシステアリン酸とリチウム、マグネシウム、ナトリウム、アルミニウムのうちから選ばれた一種類又は二種類以上の金属塩である〔1〕または〔2〕に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
〔6〕樹脂製摺動部材用である〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物
〔7〕ガラス繊維強化樹脂製摺動部材用である〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物
〔8〕金属製部材と樹脂製部材からなる摺動部用である〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物
〔9〕自動車用である〔1〕〜〔8〕のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。」
である。
本発明のグリース組成物に使用される基油は特に限定されるものではなく、特に限定されるものではなく、すべての基油が使用可能である。例えば、パラフィン系鉱油、ジエステル、ポリオールエステルに代表されるエステル系合成油;ポリαオレフィン、エチレンとαオレフィンとのコオリゴマー、ポリブテンに代表される合成炭化水素油;アルキレンジフェニルエーテル、ポリアルキレンエーテルに代表されるエーテル系合成油;ジエステルやポリオールエステルに代表されるエステル系油;ポリジメチルシリコーン、ポリメチルフェニルシリコーンに代表されるシリコーン油等が挙げられる。好ましいものは、樹脂材への攻撃性が低く耐熱性、低温性のバランスに優れ、樹脂材の応力割れを引き起こしにくい合成炭化水素油であるが、樹脂材の応力割れを引き起こしにくい点では、ポリアルキレンエーテル、ポリオールエステル、ポリメチルフェニルシリコーンも好適に用いられる。これらの基油を2種類以上混合して使用しても良い。また、1種または2種以上からなる基油の動粘度は、40℃において5〜500mm2/sであることが好ましい。
本発明の潤滑グリース組成物に使用されるウレア化合物は、基油の増稠剤であり、高温での耐酸化劣化性に優れ、樹脂材を含む潤滑部の耐久寿命を改善することから、好ましく使用される。該ウレア化合物は、具体的にはジウレア化合物、トリウレア化合物、テトラウレア化合物、ポリウレア化合物(ジウレア化合物、トリウレア化合物、テトラウレア化合物は除く)等のウレア化合物、ウレア・ウレタン化合物、ジウレタン化合物等のウレタン化合物又はこれらの混合物等が挙げられる。これらの中でも、ジウレア化合物、ウレア・ウレタン化合物、ジウレタン化合物又はこれらの混合物が好ましい。
A−CONH−R−NHCO−B (1)
で表されるジウレア化合物、ウレア・ウレタン化合物、ジウレタン化合物が挙げられる。式(1)中、A及びBは同一でも異なっていてもよく、それぞれ−NHR1、−NR2R3又は−OR4で表される基を表す。ここで、R1、R2、R3及びR4は同一でも異なっていてもよく、それぞれ炭素原子数6〜20の炭化水素基を表ものである。かかるR1、R2、R3、R4で表される炭化水素基としては、例えば、炭素原子数6〜20の直鎖又は分枝状のアルキル基、直鎖又は分枝状のアルケニル基、シクロアルキル基、アルキルシクロアルキル基、アリール基、アルキルアリール基、アリールアルキル基等が挙げられる。好ましくは、炭素原子数6〜20の直鎖又は分枝状のアルキル基、シクロアルキル基またはアルキルアリール基であり、オクタデシル基、シクロヘキシル基またはトルイル基であることが特に好ましい。
Rで表される2価の炭化水素基は、具体的には、エチレン基、2,2−ジメチル−4−メチルヘキシレン基、または下記式(2)〜(11)で表される基が挙げられ、中でも式(3)、(5)で表される2価の炭化水素基が特に好ましい。
S45C鋼(以下、「S45C」と略す)および30%ガラス入46ナイロン(以下、「PA46GF30」と略す)により内径φ20mm外径φ25.6mm高さ15mmの中空円筒(図1)を作製し試験片とした。
潤滑グリース組成物 約0.1gを塗布したS45C製試験片およびPA46GF30製試験片を組み合わせ、荷重20MPa・摺動速度100mm/s・試験時間120分の条件で試験を行い、上部に設置したS45C製試験片の摺動面から約1mmの部分での温度が160℃に達したとき、あるいは急激な摩擦力上昇が認められたとき焼き付きと見做し試験を終了し耐久寿命として記録した。また、耐久寿命が試験時間(120分)を超えるものについては、120分時点での最高温度を記録した。摩擦係数は試験中最も安定した部分を記録した。
潤滑グリース組成物 約0.1gを塗布したS45C製試験片同士組み合わせ、荷重20MPa・摺動速度100mm/s・試験時間120分の条件で試験を行い、試験装置のトルク制御機能により試験機が停止するまでの時間を耐久時間(分)とし、その時点において上部に設置したS45C製試験片の摺動面から約1mmの部分での温度を最高温度(℃)として測定した。なお、試験開始からX分後に潤滑グリースが焼付きを興した場合には「X分後に焼付き」と評価した。また、試験開始直後に焼付きを起こした場合、最高温度(℃)は「測定不可」と評価した。
基油としてポリ−α−オレフィン(40℃での動粘度:47mm2/s)を用意し、この基油の半量と、及びアミン混合物(シクロヘキシルアミン:ステアリルアミン=8:2(モル比))と、を反応容器に秤取して混合物(1)とし、70〜80℃に加温した。一方、基油の半量と、ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネートと、を別の容器に秤取して混合物(2)とし、70〜80℃に加温して混合物(1)に加えて攪拌した。反応熱により反応混合物の温度は上昇し、約30分間この状態で攪拌を続け、さらに昇温して170〜180℃で30分間保持した。このようにして、ポリ−α−オレフィン中でジウレア化合物を合成した。該反応混合物の冷却後、表1に示す各種添加剤を加え、攪拌した後、3本ロールミルを用いて、稠度No.2グレードに調製し、潤滑グリース組成物を調製した(ただし、比較例1はベースグリース自体であり、添加剤は加えていない)。さらに、上記の方法で、S45C製試験片およびPA46GF30製試験片からなる摺動部に適用し、得られた潤滑グリース組成物の磨耗係数、耐久寿命(分)および最高温度(℃)を評価した。得られた結果を表2に示す。
[実施例1〜6、比較例1〜3、参考例1、2]と同様に、ポリ−α−オレフィン中でジウレア化合物を合成した。該反応混合物の冷却後、表2に示す各種添加剤を加え、攪拌した後、3本ロールミルを用いて、稠度No.2グレードに調製し、潤滑グリース組成物を調製した(ただし、比較例4はベースグリース自体であり、添加剤は加えていない)。さらに、上記の方法で、S45C製試験片同士からなる摺動部に適用し、得られた潤滑グリース組成物の耐久時間(分)および最高温度(℃)を評価した。得られた結果を表2に示す。

をそれぞれ表す。
実施例1〜6の潤滑グリース組成物はS45C製試験片(金属製部材)およびPA46GF30製試験片(ガラス繊維強化樹脂部材)からなる摺動部に適用すると、すべて摩擦係数0.03以下であり、摩擦係数を低減した。さらに、実施例1〜3、6においては120分以上の潤滑寿命を示した。これに対して、ステアリン酸リチウムだけを含有する比較例1では摩擦係数の低減は認められず、潤滑寿命は2分に留まった。また、摩擦係数を改善することで知られる固体潤滑剤としてポリテトラフルオロエチレン樹脂粉末(PTFE)を5%含有する比較例2においても摩擦係数と潤滑寿命の改善は認められなかった。
実施例7〜14の潤滑グリース組成物は、ウレア化合物を増稠剤として含有するものであり、S45C製試験片(金属製部材)およびPA46GF30製試験片(ガラス繊維強化樹脂部材)からなる摺動部に適用すると、すべて摩擦係数0.03以下であり、摩擦係数を低減し、120分以上の潤滑寿命を示した。
一方、リン化合物及び脂肪酸金属塩を含有しない比較例3であり摩擦係数は高く、潤滑寿命は2分であった。また、比較例4及び比較例5はリン化合物あるいは脂肪酸金属塩のみを含有させた潤滑グリース組成物であり、リン化合物あるいは脂肪酸金属塩単独で配合しても、摩擦係数の低減及び潤滑寿命は認められなかった。
実施例15〜17の本発明に係る潤滑グリース組成物は、S45C製試験片(金属製部材)同士からなる摺動部に適用した場合、何れも30分以上の耐久時間を達成した。また、これらの潤滑グリース組成物を用いた実施例においては、試験機が停止時においても、S45C製試験片の焼付きは確認されなかった。一方、添加剤を含まないウレア増稠グリース(比較例6)は、試験開始直後に焼付きをおこし試験を続行することができなかった。また、ウレア増稠グリースにピロリン酸亜鉛のみを5重量%添加した比較例7においても、試験開始から4分後に焼付きを起こし、評価試験を続行することができなかった。
Claims (7)
- (A)基油、(B)ウレア化合物、(C)リン酸塩、メタリン酸塩、二リン酸塩(ピロリン酸塩)、三リン酸塩(トリポリリン酸塩)、亜リン酸塩、二亜リン酸塩、および次亜リン酸塩よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種のリン化合物 0.5〜20重量%および(D)8〜22の炭素原子を有する一種類又は二種類以上のモノカルボキシル脂肪酸またはヒドロキシモノカルボキシル脂肪酸とリチウム、亜鉛、マグネシウム、ナトリウムのうちから選ばれた一種類又は二種類以上の金属塩である脂肪酸金属塩0.5〜40重量%を含んでなる潤滑グリース組成物。
- リン化合物がピロリン酸亜鉛及び/またはリン酸三カルシウムの粉末である請求項1に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
- 脂肪酸金属塩が、ステアリン酸またはヒドロキシステアリン酸とリチウム、マグネシウム、ナトリウム、アルミニウムのうちから選ばれた一種類又は二種類以上の金属塩である請求項1または請求項2に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
- 樹脂製摺動部材用である請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
- ガラス繊維強化樹脂製摺動部材用である請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
- 金属製部材と樹脂製部材からなる摺動部用である請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑グリース組成物。
