Claims (4)
- 画像受容表面と、
それぞれが異なる色のインクを補給するように構成される複数の着色インク補給源と、
少なくとも1つの着色インク補給源に操作可能に接続され、少なくとも1つの着色インク補給源から受け取った着色インクを画像受容表面へと放出するように配置されるプリントヘッドと、
第1の光沢レベルを有する高光沢コーティングインクを収容する高光沢コーティングインク補給源と、第1の光沢レベルよりも低い光沢レベルである第2の光沢レベルを有する低光沢コーティングインクを収容する低光沢コーティングインク補給源と、
高光沢コーティングインク補給源および低光沢コーティングインク補給源からの高光沢コーティングインクと低光沢コーティングインクとをそれぞれ受け取るように構成されるコーティングモジュールと、を備え、
コーティングモジュールは、
高光沢コーティングインクを画像受容表面上へと噴出するように構成される第1のインクジェットノズル群、および、低光沢コーティングインクを画像受容表面上へと噴出するように構成される第2のインクジェットノズル群と、
第1および第2のインクジェットノズル群についての駆動信号を発生して、各網版パターンが光沢コーティングについての異なる光沢レベルに対応する複数の網版パターン内の少なくとも1つの網版パターンに従って、画像受容表面の少なくとも一部の上に光沢コーティングを形成するように構成されるコントローラと、を含み、
前記網版パターンは複数ピクセルからなる網版セルを有し、前記網版セル内の各ピクセルに高光沢コーティングインクか低光沢コーティングインクのいずれかが塗布され、前記網版セル内の全ピクセル内に占める高光沢コーティングインクが塗布されたピクセルと低光沢コーティングインクが塗布されたピクセルとの割合から前記網版セルの光沢レベルが設定される、インクジェット画像形成装置。 - 請求項1に記載のインクジェット画像形成装置において、
画像受容表面は複数のピクセルを有し、少なくとも1つの網版パターンは、高光沢コーティングインクを受け取る画像受容表面の少なくとも一部のピクセルと低光沢コーティングインクを受け取る画像受容表面の少なくとも一部のピクセルとを識別するように構成されることを特徴とするインクジェット画像形成装置。 - 請求項2に記載のインクジェット画像形成装置において、
網版パターン内のピクセル総数と比べた、高光沢コーティングインクを受け取る少なくとも1つの網版パターン内のピクセルの数は、高光沢コーティングインクについての網版濃度に対応し、ピクセル総数と比べた、低光沢コーティングインクを受け取る網版パターン内のピクセルの数は、低光沢コーティングインクについての網版濃度に対応し、高光沢および低光沢コーティングインクの網版濃度は網版についての光沢レベルに対応することを特徴とするインクジェット画像形成装置。 - 請求項3に記載のインクジェット画像形成装置において、
複数の網版パターンは、
高光沢コーティングを生じる高光沢網版パターンであって、複数のピクセル内の各ピクセルが高光沢コーティングインクを受け取ることを示す高光沢網版パターンと、
低光沢コーティングを生じる低光沢網版パターンであって、複数のピクセル内の各ピクセルが低光沢コーティングインクを受け取ることを示す低光沢網版パターンと、
第1と第2の光沢レベルの中間の光沢レベルを有する少なくとも1つの中光沢コーティングを生じる少なくとも1つの中光沢網版パターンであって、少なくとも1つの中光沢網版パターンが高光沢コーティングインクについての網版濃度と低光沢コーティングインクについての網版濃度とを識別して少なくとも1つの中光沢コーティングを形成する中光沢網版パターンと、
を含むことを特徴とするインクジェット画像形成装置。
