Description
Claims (3)
- 複数のチャネルの信号を含む光信号を増幅する半導体光増幅器と、前記半導体光増幅器によって増幅された前記光信号を複数のチャネル毎の光信号に分岐する光分離部と、前記複数のチャネル毎の光信号を電気信号に変換する複数の光受信部を備える光受信モジュールの制御方法であって、
前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力をモニタし、該出力に基づいて前記半導体光増幅器に供給するバイアス電流を調整することにより、前記半導体光増幅器の利得を制御し、
前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力の全てが所定の上限値及び下限値の範囲にある場合には、前記半導体増幅器の利得を変化させないように前記バイアス電流を供給し、前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力のいずれかが前記所定の上限値を超えた場合には、前記半導体増幅器の利得を下げるように前記バイアス電流を所定値だけ減少させ、前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力のいずれかが前記所定の下限値を下回った場合には、前記半導体増幅器の利得を上げるように前記バイアス電流を所定値だけ増加させる、
ことを特徴とする光受信モジュールの制御方法。 - 前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力のいずれかが所定の最大上限値をさらに超えた場合、又は、前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力のいずれかが所定の最小下限値をさらに下回った場合には、前記バイアス電流を所定の最小値に維持させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の光受信モジュールの制御方法。 - 前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力のいずれかが前記所定の上限値を超え、かつ、前記複数の光受信部それぞれの出力の他のいずれかが前記所定の下限値を下回った場合、前記バイアス電流を所定の最小値に維持させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の光受信モジュールの制御方法。
