Claims (8)
- 走査線とデータ線との交差部に位置し、有機発光ダイオードと、前記有機発光ダイオードに流れる駆動電流を制御するための画素回路とを備える複数の画素で構成された画素領域と、
前記走査線に走査信号を供給する走査駆動部であり、前記画素領域の上側または下側に配置される走査駆動部と、
前記データ線にデータ信号を供給するデータ駆動部であり、前記画素領域の左側または右側に配置されるデータ駆動部とを備え、
前記走査線は、前記画素領域に実現される画面の縦方向に配列され、前記データ線は、前記画面の横方向に配列され、前記画素により前記画面に表示される映像は横表示され、
前記画素の各々において、前記有機発光ダイオードを構成するアノード電極の長軸と、前記画素回路が形成される画素回路領域の長軸とは、互いに交差する方向に配列され、
前記複数の画素は、赤色画素、緑色画素、及び青色画素を含んで構成され、
1つ以上の赤色画素、緑色画素、及び青色画素を含んで構成される単位画素において、前記単位画素の赤色画素、緑色画素、及び青色画素は、前記単位画素が配列される列ラインに配置される走査線に共通に接続されるものの、前記単位画素が配列される行ラインに配置される複数のデータ線のうち、互いに異なるデータ線に接続され、
前記単位画素の各々に備えられる有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極は、2つ以上のデータ線と交差することを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記有機発光ダイオードと、これに接続される前記画素回路とは、部分的に重なるように配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素の各々において、前記有機発光ダイオードを構成するアノード電極は、縦方向が横方向より長くパターニングされ、前記画素回路が形成される画素回路領域は、横方向が縦方向より長く設計されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素各々の発光領域は、前記アノード電極のパターンに対応して縦方向が横方向より長く設計され、複数のデータ線と交差することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素領域には、列ライン単位で発光時間を制御するための発光制御線が前記走査線と並んでさらに配列され、
前記画素領域の上側または下側には、前記発光制御線に発光制御信号を供給する発光制御駆動部が配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記発光制御駆動部は、前記画素領域を介して前記走査駆動部に対向するように配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記データ線は、前記画素領域の上側または下側を経由することなく、前記画素領域から、前記画素領域と前記データ駆動部との間の配線領域を経由して直ちに前記データ駆動部に接続されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記走査線及びデータ線と、前記画素回路が形成される画素回路領域は、縦表示型のパネル形態で設計されるものの、前記縦表示型のパネルが横方向に回転した形態で配置され、
前記画素回路領域の上部に位置する前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極と、これに対応する発光領域とは、その長軸が前記画素回路領域の長軸方向と直交する方向に回転し、前記画面に映像が横表示されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
