セラミック焼結体は、主成分としてのアルミナ粉末、および添加剤としてのシリカ粉末、およびマグネシア粉末、必要に応じて添加されるカルシア粉末の混合粉末から作製したセラミックグリーンシートを、所定の形状に切断した後に約1600℃の温度で焼成することにより形成した。なお、セラミック焼結体は、152.4mm×152.4mm×0.635mmの矩形板状に形成した。
溝は、ガスを吹き付けつつセラミック焼結体の主面にレーザ光を照射するとともに、そのレーザ照射部位を移動させることにより、50.8mm×50.8mmの矩形単体を9個得られるように形成した。
チッピングの評価は、各試料について、複数のセラミック部材を溝において分割して50個の単体を得た後、それらの単体を網の中へ入れ、水中で超音波振動装置により振動をかることにより行なった。超音波振動の条件は、発振周波数28kHz、出力1.5KW、10分間とした。チッピングの有無は、各単体の周縁部について、工具顕微鏡を用いて倍率10倍で確認することにより行なった。チッピング評価の結果については、表2に同時に示した。図9に示すように、チッピングの評価は、長さAおよび幅Bがいずれも0.4mm以上となる欠け34が発生しているものを不良として×、欠け34の長さAおよび幅Bが0.4mm未満のものを使用可として△、確認されなかったものを○として表した。
抗折強度は、セラミック部材を溝において分割した単体について、「デジタル荷重試験機1840D型」(アイコーエンジニアリング株式会社製)を用いて測定した。図10に示すように、抗折強度の測定においては、スパンSを30mm、クロスヘッドスピードを0.5mm/分とし評価した。また、各試料は、溝の形成されていた面を下向きにし、溝に起因する周縁部の状態が抗折荷重に最も影響するその反対面から荷重をかける方法で実施した。抗折強度の評価結果については、表2に示した。
シリカの含有率は、溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域である非表層、および溝の表層の含有率として測定した。非表層でのシリカの含有率は、FIB加工により溝の表面から法線方向の深さが60μm以上70μm以下までの領域までエッチングし、50μm角領域について、波長分散型EPMA分析を用いて測定した。なお、EPMA分析に当たっては、被測定面にはカーボンなどの蒸着処理を行ない、測定条件は加速電圧15KV、プローブ電流3×10−7Aとした。
SEMによる断面撮影は、試料3および試料19について、溶融固化物を除去する前および除去した後のそれぞれにおいて行なった。試料に対してC、Auの蒸着を施し、エネルギー分散型の電子反射像により150倍率で測定した。SEMによる断面を撮影した結果については、試料3については図11(a)および図11(b)に、試料19については図12(a)および図12(b)にそれぞれ示した。なお、図11(a)および図12(a)は、それぞれ溶融固化物を除去する前のものであり、図11b(a)および図12(b)は、それぞれ溶融固化物を除去した後のものである。
Claims (7)
- 複数の電子部品用基板を得るための分割用の溝を有し、アルミナを主成分としかつシリカを含むセラミック部材であって、
前記溝の表面からの法線方向における少なくとも1μm以上10μm以下までの領域を表層としたとき、該表層は、前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域よりも、シリカの含有率が高く、かつシリカの平均含有率が1.4倍以上1.6倍以下である、セラミック部材。 - 前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域におけるアルミナの平均含有率が92.6質量%以上99.6質量%以下であり、前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域におけるシリカの平均含有率が0.3質量%以上5.0質量%以下である、請求項1に記載のセラミック部材。
- 前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域におけるカルシアの平均含有率が0質量%以上0.4質量%以下であり、前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域におけるマグネシアの平均含有率が0.1質量%以上2.0質量%以下である、請求項2に記載のセラミック部材。
- 複数の電子部品用基板を得るための分割用の溝を有し、ジルコニアを主成分としかつイットリアを含むセラミック部材であって、
前記溝の表面からの法線方向における少なくとも1μm以上10μm以下までの領域を表層としたとき、該表層は、前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域よりも、イットリアの含有率が高く、かつイットリアの平均含有率が1.2倍以上1.6倍以下である、セラミック部材。 - 前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域におけるジルコニアの平均含有率が94.2質量%以上94.8質量%以下であり、前記溝の表面からの法線方向の60μm以上70μm以下までの領域のイットリアの平均含有率が5.2質量%以上5.8質量%以下である、請求項4に記載のセラミック部材。
- 請求項1に記載のセラミック部材を分割してなる、電子部品用基板。
